De Montfort University

The grounds are lovely and I believe this is a great uni for the arts especially. I do however find that for courses such as nursing the organisation, the content and structure is all lacking. There is very little support, some personal tutors are not nurses and purposefully ignore emails. Accommodation is grotty and there is no where for nurses to live for the full 12 months they are at uni a year (not even the nursing accommodation facilities this).

courses was good and a variety, but the facilities are limited and not much help from the lectures. Not many teams to join career services wasn't much help.

De Montfort has amazing facilities and the #DMUglobal scheme is amazing, however it’s really hard to make friends on your course. Which makes it extremely hard when it comes to revision. A lot of the lecturers that I have come across are not helpful when you don’t understand something and sometimes make you feel inferior for not understanding a theory. I’m hoping that my experience in the coming year changes my view on DMU because I currently wouldn’t want someone I know to come to a uni that is so disconnected in a sense.

the Lecturers are brilliant and are always willing to give help and guidance. The facilities are always accessible (the library and online files). I believe the course needs to be changed to include more about psychology but overall rate it brilliant

The course should be more organised and the tutors for MA English language teaching should improve how they assign the assessement. It is a bit mess up and cause a lot of problems.

It's an okay university. Not for the best, nor the brightest. Seems more like a uni for mucking around, getting wasted and partying. Most of the staff seem to care about the students and the work is readily available. City is quite small though so not much variety in what to do socially apart from eating out or clubbing.

Facilities are great and support and opportunities are incredible until you hit 3rd year. Then it's like nope you 3rd years dont matter we dont care. There are incredible volunteering and travel opportunities to Hong Kong, New York, Qatar etc. Some good working spaces but not many and requires more attention to study and computer spaces than pretty new buildings which dont have much study areas. Great location though and great sources of entertainment as its right near city centre. A large variety of cuisines available at and around university and located near the rugby stadium and king power stadium which means access to sports as well.

Campus is nice, student union could be better and inclusive. Course can be better in terms of timetabled sessions, and help provided.

Excellent campus right in the heart of the city with great access to the city centre. The overall course was well taught however some lecturers were using out of date seminars to teach content and were not great at explaining complex matters. Students Union was great but spent more time marketing new campains instead of marketing what the purpose of the Union was. Careers service were poor and unfortunately many students found placements and work placements without the assistance of the university which was disappointing.

There are various improvements that need to be made but one major problem is that lecturers do not engage students and simply just read of PowerPoints! This needs to change

The uni has a nice campus and the uni offers lots of support for its students. The facilities are modern and the course is okay.

The university gives little help to it's students but with nightlife so close it makes up for the shit uni experience.
