All the staff and students were sound on move in day, as long as you out yourself out there and get ready to leave your comfort zone for a bit, it'll go well and you'll meet some great people!

I loved freshers, met some of the coolest and dopest people, thought it would be a difficult transition from college to university, bit it wasnt! It was a week off getting to know everyone, bonding, meeting your course mates, Aston made it a wonderful experience! For those joining next year, its a breeze! You will love anywhere you go and will make the best of friends, goodluck!

Moving in day was a bit of a task because of the weather and long queues but the students that were helping out were so lovely and they made the experience much better. The SU had prepared loads of day activities and night events for freshers week, as well as the individual societies having their own freshers events that you could attend. My tips are to go to as many events as possible and join as many societies as this means you can meet new people and make friends. Also don’t bring to many things!! I practically brought my whole room with me to uni and there may not be as much space for the things you actually need. And lastly remember to enjoy yourself, your first freshers is a unique experience and you should go out and enjoy it.

Freshers week was a very positive experience for me as the move in was very easy due to the help of the first love Aston society which helped move my bags into my accommodation and direct me to where I had to be to enroll. The enrolment process took no more than an hour which I found very easy as I was expecting to wait much longer. The nightlife was incredible with countless bars, clubs and raves to chose from in Birmingham. I also met people throughout the week that have become some of my best friends and have moulded my overall uni experience

Moving in was great and everyone involved within this transition was very friendly and helpful. On top of that a lot of starter packs were provided to ensure that I knew what I was doing and I was told what to do if I needed any help. There were many different types of freshers events on to meet new friends.
