I love York, it has everything from shopping, activities and clubs. It has a good mixture of historical places and cool young bars. It is definitely a place for everyone, with soemthing for everyone.

York is a fabulous city with something for everyone. Whilst on the outskirts, the uni is only a 30 minute walk into town, or a 5 minute bus ride away. I can't comment extensively on the clubbing scene, but you'll find a nice array of bars, an enormous selection of places to eat and a thriving coffee culture. Look out for Lendall Cellars for a unique pub experience, or Gatehouse Coffee for your next coffee date.

Good night life, very pretty city and nice to walk round and see the minster and the museums. The only issue is that it's quite touristy so it can get quite expensive and it's very busy in the summer months.

York is a pretty fantastic town to be honest, the two campuses are a short bus journey away from the town and the buses run very regularly, there is a nice mixture of your usual chain shops and cute quirky independent shops, there are always people out on a night and the drinks are really cheap.

Good variety of clubs and bars to choose from. There is always student events, prices are cheap and the atmosphere is friendly. Plenty of shops and restaurants to enjoy a good day out. York has many unique tourist attractions including the art gallery, train museum and castle. YSJ accommodation is very close to the city center. I can’t fault it.

good variety of nights out and an endless list of pubs, many with their own quirks. plenty of shops for retail needs and there are often markets near the shambles too. only con is that drinks can get quite expensive.

Nights out are fun, not too rowdy just a decent chill night. Location is amazing, York is a beautiful place, everything is close together. The uni is easy to get around. People are okay everyone keeps to themselves that's no drama.
