Excellent city, Swansea city centre has all the shops you ever need. From Debenhams to Zara, from high end clothing to a simple t from Topman, Swansea has it all. The nightlife is great with clubs such as peppermint and sin city. Food is also excellent such as Thai taste in the Swansea market or a more traditional American diner with Denny's. Would recommend visiting Swansea anytime

Swansea city centre is perfect for all ages. There’s plenty of restaurants, cafes, retail shops and small owned shops. There’s lots of entertainment which will keep everyone busy. It’s a central location with easy access to shopping, restaurants and nightlife. There are buses, taxis and trains available for transport that run at all times of the day and night. There are also hotels around the centre for people who are travelling which have good reviews.

Swansea is a good place to live with pretty scenery. The nights out are very good, everywhere is good value for money and you’re close to the beach. There are always events on and is always something new to do in swansea.

Decent options for things to do, but not great like in a larger city. Value is good on certain nights and events/offers.

All in all, Swansea is a great place to live. There are plenty of places for students to go out, could potentially do with slightly more variety in clubs, but there is a good enough selection to go clubbing 3/4 times a week and not get bored and there are plenty of nice bars/pubs around the city for when you aren't clubbing! There isn't loads in the way of shopping, but this hasn't been an issue for anyone I know. There are a lot of places to go for daytime/general activities and the gower is amazing if you have or know someone with a car. There are some very lovely restaurants around Swansea, although types of cuisine available lack in variety slightly. Overall it's a really nice city to live in - it's a nice location, the people are lovely, it's easy to get around, it's cheap and there is plenty to do.

Swansea is a good all rounder for a young person. When you want to go out with your friends there are countless places to go, whether it's a pub, nightclub, bar or restaurant. In the city centre alone there is plentiful choice. It is cheap too - as an 18 year old student who is a regular drinker, I spend on average £15-20 whenever I go out to Wind Street.

Pretty but needs more things to do for students that doesn't involve drinking. However, the bars are all good with nice vibes.

The beach is nice, but the roads are ridiculous. There are plenty of places to eat and shop but not many unique to Swansea shops. The rent is good for the accommodation I'm getting The streets are full of nut jobs and heroin addicts at night and it's loud!

Swansea is a great night out for any student! There are a range of venues from rock bars to clubs, secret bars to JD spoons. There is something for everyone! The city itself is improving and has some amazing beaches, whether this is Swansea bay or in the Gower. It's a great city with lots to do and plenty of shops. It is well worth a visit and a great place to come and study.

Swansea's city center is well layed out, you can find most things you would need within a small radius. The centre offers a shopping centre, large indoor market, a verity of shops along the main shopping street and side streets, restaurants and most importantly Wind Street. Whilst being in Swansea I've never had a problem being able to find something that I might need.

Great nights out, value for money, cheap, friendly and fun. Not a very big city but it's still great.

A very vibrant and beautiful city, from the lush sandy beach to the wonderful shops in the city centre. I would highly recommend going to Swansea for any occasion.

A brilliant student city, with many things to do as well as access to amazing beaches and the Brecon beacons

Nights out - very lively, there is somewhere to go every night of the week and prices tend to be reasonable for most of those nights and places. Favourite places to go out are definitely sin city, fiction coyote ugly, kon tikis and bambu. Swansea also definitely doesn't lack in the pub department. Things to do - the Gower is on the doorstep, a lovely day out (especially when it's sunny) and of course the actual Swansea bay is so close you can see it from your house window, which is especially good for summertime where you can drink and have endless barbeques.

Swansea is a great city overall. The beach is 5 minutes away from the university campus. Nightlife is great, students come all the way from Bristol and Cardiff to enjoy their nightlife with friends in here. Last but not least, mumbles, a long street with amazing restaurants and beach view, only 10 minutes away by car

Swansea is great if you want city life without the stress and bustle of bigger cities. It has loads to offer, a whole street of nightlife, gym's, cinema's, shopping and only a bus ride from the beautiful Gower Peninsula. As a city it has the friendliest people I've ever met, and is very reasonably priced! The only reason I have given it 4/5 stars is because it could do with some expansion as the town centre is relatively small for a city, however, only being an hour on the train from Cardiff it doesn't matter that much.

There's plenty to do in Swansea. Day to day I'm never bored, and the night life is amazing. Student nights are really good, but the weekends are very expensive. The bus service is so reliable and a bus pass is a must! But there isn't much student housing available for second years.

Really good place to go to uni as you are close to both the town (shops, restaurants, clubs) and the beach. Lovely in the summer as you can have BBQs on the beach and relax there between lectures.

With a street full of clubs and bars the nights out are great. There is also so many restaurants from chains and unique ones. Same goes for shops. The beach provides a lot to do and walks to do. Plus there's the cinema, bowling, foot golf etc. Swansea is very good value for money to live here and have a good standard of living.

Swansea is a great place if you want to experience life on the coast as well as city life. The Gower is nearby and is accessible through buses from the centre. Wind Street is popular for night life, due to its array of pubs and clubs, and there's plenty of restaurants and cafes to suit all budgets. Overall, it's a really lovely city if you are torn with choosing between the countryside and the city.

Swansea University is a great place to make friends make new experiences and memories. Whilst studying for your degree, the night life to let off some steam is also brilliant. Wind Street being the most popular choice on Wednesday student night, is a busy, fun and exciting night. I will miss Swansea when I graduate, as these 3 years are the best of my life.

Shopping and eating out can sometimes be limited but swansea is home to the most beautiful beaches in the U.K. and it’s close to the Brecon Beacons so you’ll never run out of things to do!
