Excellent city, Swansea city centre has all the shops you ever need. From Debenhams to Zara, from high end clothing to a simple t from Topman, Swansea has it all. The nightlife is great with clubs such as peppermint and sin city. Food is also excellent such as Thai taste in the Swansea market or a more traditional American diner with Denny's. Would recommend visiting Swansea anytime

More affordable activities for students. More communal areas for students to interact. Bigger sport bars in Swansea town where students can go during big matches with reasonably affordable drinks.

Swansea city centre is perfect for all ages. There’s plenty of restaurants, cafes, retail shops and small owned shops. There’s lots of entertainment which will keep everyone busy. It’s a central location with easy access to shopping, restaurants and nightlife. There are buses, taxis and trains available for transport that run at all times of the day and night. There are also hotels around the centre for people who are travelling which have good reviews.

Swansea is a good place to live with pretty scenery. The nights out are very good, everywhere is good value for money and you’re close to the beach. There are always events on and is always something new to do in swansea.

I feel Swansea is a great place because if we take into consideration the beach the food the nightlife and the great university life then I feel that they could be one of the best universities in the UK

There is not much to do in Swansea, mainly due to the weather we get here. There is mumbles and we have the Gower which is the best part if you love nature as Wales is very beautiful. However, if you are into cities and the urban life, Swansea is not for you as there is not much to do in town except pubs and cinema, The cinema is quite cheap which is good, food is expensive and not that great to be honest. Overall the beach and the coastal path are the best part in Swansea.

Great nightlife, lots of shops, plenty of things to do, cinema, bowling, laser tag, lots of choice of restaurants

There are plenty of places to eat such as five guys, ask Italian, nines, smoke haus, pizza express or just a McDonald’s, there are several cinemas and a bowling alley to spend your time and there are so many shops in the town

Swansea is a beautiful city by the beach, it is mostly a student city with loads of international students. With that said you would quickly realise that you can't separate students and a night out, the opportunity for nights out presents itself on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays as loads of students get drunk and go out to the clubs and pubs. It's a small city and everybody kinda knows everybody especially in the uni circle. It's a bit expensive and with limited varieties for food and shopping but it's a great social city.

Decent options for things to do, but not great like in a larger city. Value is good on certain nights and events/offers.

All in all, Swansea is a great place to live. There are plenty of places for students to go out, could potentially do with slightly more variety in clubs, but there is a good enough selection to go clubbing 3/4 times a week and not get bored and there are plenty of nice bars/pubs around the city for when you aren't clubbing! There isn't loads in the way of shopping, but this hasn't been an issue for anyone I know. There are a lot of places to go for daytime/general activities and the gower is amazing if you have or know someone with a car. There are some very lovely restaurants around Swansea, although types of cuisine available lack in variety slightly. Overall it's a really nice city to live in - it's a nice location, the people are lovely, it's easy to get around, it's cheap and there is plenty to do.

A night out in Swansea is good fun with decent prices on most nights but not all, Saturday is definitely a day to avoid going out due to the higher prices. Food in Swansea is good as there is a lot of variety as to what you can eat both when going out or ordering food online.

Swansea is a good all rounder for a young person. When you want to go out with your friends there are countless places to go, whether it's a pub, nightclub, bar or restaurant. In the city centre alone there is plentiful choice. It is cheap too - as an 18 year old student who is a regular drinker, I spend on average £15-20 whenever I go out to Wind Street.

Living in Swansea is amazing. I love living here, as a student everything is so close and accessible. Everything I need is close by, and busses are reliable. We have clubs, bars, restaurants, swimming pools, a beach, cinemas etc. Everything a student needs, Swansea has, and plenty of them.

Pretty but needs more things to do for students that doesn't involve drinking. However, the bars are all good with nice vibes.

The beach is nice, but the roads are ridiculous. There are plenty of places to eat and shop but not many unique to Swansea shops. The rent is good for the accommodation I'm getting The streets are full of nut jobs and heroin addicts at night and it's loud!

Swansea is a great night out for any student! There are a range of venues from rock bars to clubs, secret bars to JD spoons. There is something for everyone! The city itself is improving and has some amazing beaches, whether this is Swansea bay or in the Gower. It's a great city with lots to do and plenty of shops. It is well worth a visit and a great place to come and study.

Swansea's city center is well layed out, you can find most things you would need within a small radius. The centre offers a shopping centre, large indoor market, a verity of shops along the main shopping street and side streets, restaurants and most importantly Wind Street. Whilst being in Swansea I've never had a problem being able to find something that I might need.

Great nights out, value for money, cheap, friendly and fun. Not a very big city but it's still great.

A very vibrant and beautiful city, from the lush sandy beach to the wonderful shops in the city centre. I would highly recommend going to Swansea for any occasion.

Swansea is the most brilliant city. Wind street, one line of clubs and restursnts is so practical and brilliant for a great night out. The city is not overpriced and has plenty to do.

A brilliant student city, with many things to do as well as access to amazing beaches and the Brecon beacons

It is the perfect city. Not too big, but big enough to have lots of foreign foods, chain restaurants, great shops, and lots of takeaways to choose from. My favourite restaurants also deliver. Nights out are fun because it's a typical valleys town with the added bonus of bigger clubs, reasonably priced drinks, and a studenty party atmosphere. Locals are kind and it is not an expensive city to live in. It is easy to catch a bus/taxi and there is a train station.

Nights out - very lively, there is somewhere to go every night of the week and prices tend to be reasonable for most of those nights and places. Favourite places to go out are definitely sin city, fiction coyote ugly, kon tikis and bambu. Swansea also definitely doesn't lack in the pub department. Things to do - the Gower is on the doorstep, a lovely day out (especially when it's sunny) and of course the actual Swansea bay is so close you can see it from your house window, which is especially good for summertime where you can drink and have endless barbeques.
