Glen Eyre

Glen Eyre is conveniently located just a short walk from campus. The halls are built in a scenic area that was fantastic for BBQs in the summer. My room was well-sized and the facilities in the kitchen were impressive. All students in halls receive a free bus pass, which is handy for getting to town for nights out and the supermarkets.

Glen Eyre is in a good location because it is less than a 20 minute walk downhill to university. There are a large number of blocks set among lots of green space - great for barbeques in the summer! Brunei Hall is a small block tucked in the corner. The rooms are quite small and the kitchens aren't really big enough for 7-9 people. However there was a great sense of community within the different flats!

Glen Eyre is a good location for halls as it is less than a 15 minute walk downhill to university. There are also lots of halls blocks so it is easy to meet people and visit friends in other blocks. Brunei Hall is a small block tucked in the corner of Glen Eyre. It has quite small rooms and tiny kitchens for 7-9 people; however there is a great sense of community within the block and between the different flats.

I like that the blocks make you socialise with other blocks. The pit in the middle is great for meeting up before events too! Rooms are a great size but it is unnecessary space, no reason to have a single bed; for the price and space you could easily have put in a double. Kitchen sizes of 4 and said kitchens are way too small to be comfortable. Two showers and two toilets between four people, never once had a problem this is an excellent feature! Only a 5 minute walk from campus and a bus stop two minutes away.

Great place to live with plenty of greenery around. Easy access to campus but post service isn't very reliable and often takes a long time for things to get to you. Parcels are difficult to receive and either get a mouthful for turning up at reception too early or grumpy emails that parcels have been waiting for a long time to be picked up - Annoying considering the price we're paying Otherwise no complaints

Good location for the university but quite far from town. Helpful reception staff. Gym facilities however only machines now free weights. Laundry close by

Nice reception, close to campus, serene environment. there is a bbq area with loads of greenery and.nice common room

These halls are a 5 minute from campus, which has its perks. There's only a local co-op and Saintsburys, which isn't ideal for weekly shops.

The location of chamberlain halls is really nice it’s surrounded by trees so there’s no road noise, the facilities are the common room and private studies both of which are so good, they get formed into study rooms during exams which is good to do group revision. The social aspect in chamberlain is quite social with louder nights during freshers but then it calms down, but the security and all are really good at sorting out any issues.

This is for chamberlain halls. Very clean and modern. Kitchens are a lovely spacious size. Pretty quiet. Laundry and post in building A. Short walk to uni, bus stop also right outside

The facilities available are excellent. We have a laundry room, computer room and common areas and are located very close from the Uni Campus. The ambience is funtastic and not too loud when you want to stay indoors, but there is always something going on when you do want to go out and it is very social due to its large capacity so you can always find someone to go out with. The postal collection service at Reception is also excellent and notifies you soon after your parcel has been delivered to them.

These halls provide a very good social life, as everyone is really friendly and welcoming. Location is perfect for campus, especially for 9am lectures. Only downside, is that the heating in the rooms is quite poor and so it can get a little cold during the winter.

The facilities are average. Room with an en suite. The social experience is poor, a quiet set of halls.

In terms of location, glen Eyre is the best for quickly getting to the uni. It's a 10 minute walk to campus and from there you can get a bus anywhere (bus pass included in halls fees). The social facilities aren't great- there is a common room but it's very rundown and no one really goes there. If you really wanted a space to chill, you'd be better off going to the chamberlain common room on the other side of the road. The rooms are fine and how nice your room is really depends on which category you get, obviously the more you pay the nicer the room. There have been some problems with maintenance who honestly aren't that great at fixing problems but they usually come pretty soon after you ask for them.

My room was left open twice after people to work in it. Highly unsafe and then I was blamed to have left it open. It's a beautiful place to stay with a lot of greenery but the carelessness really disappointed me

Was very nice, close to the uni, good bus links, however the staff in the reception were not very good. They would not tell you about parcels and would take ages to serve you. Overall though it was a great place to live for first year.

Location is right next to the uni, I love my room- it is a good size and shape. It’s slightly overpriced, not near town or the clubs but you get a free bus pass in first year. I’ve found a good social experience through flat mates, course friends and societies. But I wouldn’t say my halls are that sociable, people are here to work.

The location is close to campus but not much to do around. Think the rooms are too small for the price I am paying. Social experience is very good and so are the facilities

The halls are amazing, bright, modern, new and exceptionally clean! Only downside side is the cleaners are very blunt.

Brilliant halls to live in, such a nice friendly atmosphere. Rooms are lovely and there's a 24/7 reception open if you ever have an issue. Would highly recommend

Really good experience at glen eyre. Nice rooms and shared bathrooms were surprisingly nice. Only drawbacks are no shop is nearby and it's very expensive.

everyone is really friendly and welcoming. The staff are around 24/7 in the reception if you need anything the maintenance team are great! Most issues are resolved without 24 hours. I dropped a diamond necklace down the sink and they recovered it for me the next day.
