Literally some of my best uni memories are in halls! Glen was great for BBQs in the summer and festive in the winter. It always felt safe with the excellent security and well lit pathways, great for when you're coming back from a night out or the library at 3am

Short walk to the uni and main bus interchange, lovely facilities in the flats. The gym is small and not that great but you are only a short walk from the gym on campus

10/10 loved it. Great room, great social life, 10 minute walk to uni. Green open areas, used to have a bar but turned it into study space.

Although the flat itself was a bit outdated, the fact it was a block rather than a flat made the transition from home easier. Great friends, great halls, great year defo recommend.

Glen eyre is a wonderful, relaxed halls. The reception staff are welcoming and you always feel safe walking around the grounds. In the summer there is a big lawn area where you can comfortably study outside. The rooms are a decent size and maintaince are very quick at responding to any issue you have

Best halls ever. So close to uni with such a big community! There is a gym, a bar, most rooms are en-suite, you have lots of green areas for bbq in the summer. There's a bus stop outside and don't forget you get given a free bus pass for the year

Hartley Grove - close to campus, en suite was great, spacious room with high ceilings. Communal atmosphere with fab neighbours, not too loud and quiet during exam period. Great storage facilities in room and nice view, close to Chamberlain so near friends.

Very sociable halls. Really big as well so there's bound to be loads of people on your course living there which makes making friends and meeting up easier. Bonus gym just behind reception and lots of BBQ pits and grass for summer

Glen halls is very good. It’s the closest one to the main Highfirld campus. Bus connectivity is not great but you don’t need to take the bus to go to University. Good computer room, good greeery and common room with play station and board games.

I applied for glen eye ensuite halls with a shared kitchen and it was a wondering experience where I was able to maintain my privacy but also make friends for life.

Best halls in Southampton. Close to university. Have an amazing computer room which is open 24*7. Good common room arrangements. Pretty quiet for people who do not want too much noise.

In close proximity to campus with only a 10minute walk to lectures. Nice outside area with BBQ opportunities. Lots of events such as outside screenings. Flats cleaned twice a week with good recycling facilities

Chamberlain: Really good location near campus, really nice rooms with good shelves and a nice double bed, lots of kitchen space, light switch near bed which is convenient, good water pressure in shower and turns hot as soon as you turn it on. Also plug near bed which is convenient for phone charging. Big desk. However, quite small room with little floor space. Because need electronic fob hard to socialise and if leave flat door open then beeps so hard to meet other flats

These halls are a 5 minute from campus, which has its perks. There's only a local co-op and Saintsburys, which isn't ideal for weekly shops.

Brilliant halls to live in, such a nice friendly atmosphere. Rooms are lovely and there's a 24/7 reception open if you ever have an issue. Would highly recommend

everyone is really friendly and welcoming. The staff are around 24/7 in the reception if you need anything the maintenance team are great! Most issues are resolved without 24 hours. I dropped a diamond necklace down the sink and they recovered it for me the next day.

Good location only a 10 minute walk from campus, good social group. Reception staff are very helpful and good bus links to the city centre. Feels safe to be a night as there’s 24/7 security. My room is big with a double bed, any maintenance issues are fixed promptly and although it’s expensive it’s good for what you get.

Very comfortable living environment. Lots of room to socialise with added extensions for study purposes. Gym located at the back of Glen Eyre was very convenient. Tv lounge in chamberlain is great! Always a good place to meet friends. Rooms were good sizes, sufficient room to work, bathroom practical and clean. Maintainence service always getting the job done in good time. Reception consistently sending emails for post when appropriate and on top of things. Glen eyre was a stones throw from university campus and convenient bus route was located outside of halls to get into town.

Chamberlain Halls- Very homely, big rooms, good sized kitchens, good neighbours, close to campus, easily accessible, ensuite so very good. Double beds are good too, not too crowded only 8 people per flat. Very modern however lacks parking spaces.
