The uni is in the city centre so there's a lot of things to do in a close vicinity. The food in the city can be affordable but there are some more fancier restaurants. There are different activities to do such as escape rooms and jump inc

Sheffield is perfect for students moving away from home for the first time! The town centre is small but bursting with small independent shops. From the collection of vintage shops on division street to Meadowhall shopping centre. There’s something for everyone, the Peak District is 20 minutes on the bus, Kelham Island the previous industrial estate holds so many events such as peddlers night market and is full of quirky bars and pubs on the waterfront! The clubs are great and nightlife is hellaaa cheap! The perfect place to begin to understand what living independently is like

The overall city is excellent for nights out, the skool disco at Corp being a personal favourite where the songs are belter and the blue pints are flowing. Shopping wise you have the city centre where there is plenty to do but a short train stop a way is Meadowhall which a a great shopping centre and has extra shoes that the city centre doesn’t have. Food wise there is plenty to chose from in Sheffield and another favourite is mine is the bottomless brunch in revolution de Cuba for £20 which consists of unlimited prosecco and mojitos for 2 hours. This making it excellent value for money

Amazing city to be a student in. Great variety of places to go out - there's always something going on! Very friendly people in sheffield. Everything you need as a student is within walking distance but taxis are cheap and buses only £1. Hills are maybe the one downside - can be exhausting walking up crookes. On the up-side though, the hills get you in shape.

Uni campus is in a good location as it’s close to town and not too far from halls or the train station. It’s great being so close to the peaks which is a beautiful area to visit. However Sheffield is difficult to access by car as the peaks make it difficult to especially access the west and north west of England. Train travel however is fine!

I’ve lived in Sheffield all my life and I really love the atmosphere. It’s a vibrant city with some really great stuff to do. West Street has good nightlife but there’s loads to do if you don’t drink too.

Sheffield is a fun little city. Very hilly, but coking from Leeds Uni last year, it seems like a beta version of Leeds due to the size. However, would recommend to people

Great to eat out in Sheffield, so many independent places. Bars are great and cheap! Buses are only a quid for students but you can walk to pretty much everywhere around the city.

Sheffield is a great city that offers lots of of things to do. In the centre its self there is the peace and winter garderns which have modern sculptures and water features. Within the winter gardens there is the Millennium gallery which offers fine art and a collection of cutlery and other household items made from metal that represent Sheffield stainless steel industry. In the centre there are lots of shops and places to eat and drink. Just outside the city there is centertainment which hosts a range of activites including a cinema, bowling and even indoor lazor quest as well as a range of places to eat. Also just outside the city there is meadowhall a large shopping centre with 2 food outlets.

Sheffield is an all-round beautiful city filled with plenty of things to experience. It is a perfect mix of modern city and nature with many beautiful sights to experience such as the famous Botanical gardens that are beautiful to walk and picnic in. Endcliffe Park is also incredibly beautiful and situated on Ecclesall Road which has a great selection of fantastic bars and restaurants which go well with a trip into the city to experience the nightlife.

The location is fine; a little far from residential areas and could use some free transport service to get to/from campus. Otherwise, it's located well on the edge of city centre with lots of places to eat and drink nearby.

Sheffield is an excellent city, especially for students. There’s a large variety of places to go for food, especially smaller independent places like Tamper or Steam Yard. There is a range of different places to go out, but I do think the Sheffield SU has the best selection of nights to chose from.

In terms of nightout head down to Division Street, West street or Caver Street for a variety of bars and clubs. West street Live on West street is definitely a favourite, including cheap drinks and crap yet good music.

Nights out are not too pricey, everyone tends to go to the street west street when going out. Though not technically entertainment, Sheffield offers things like the botanical gardens and Peak District, which is a nice feature.

The location is perfect as it is a mix of city and rural areas, with the Peak District just 6 miles from the city centre. Good transport links too.

The locations is great since it is very close to the city. There are a lot of places to go out and most are a walkable distance. The SU also has a lot of things to do, places to eat, and has a great cinema.

Sheffield is a student oriented city with many options with students to choose from. They are a variety of food stops and cafes along division street. Meadowhall is a convenient place to get a bit of retail therapy. The city centre is also a good place to find a variety of things such as food, retailers and also a source of recreation.
