Location is perfect if you want to be at the heart of the social and night life and not too far from the uni. Facilities are great, they have a gym, study room, cinema room, games room and common area as well as on site laundry (but you have to pay for it) and a reception area which is there if you have any issues and also to collect parcels. The room itself is quite big for a student residence and I leaned towards choosing this place as it is very modern and contemporary, compared to the other halls of resistance which can look very ugly. During living there i found the only issue i really came across was due to being so close to the nightclub Corporation as my window looked down at it and i found pretty much every night there was noise which wasn't ideal during assignments and exams, but you get used to it. The only other issue was despite security being really good (you have to have a fob to enter the main gates, your block, and your flat as well as for all the common areas) i found that the main entrance gate wasn't the most secure as it opened and closed really slowly, which meant it allowed enough time for by passers to walk through easily without a fob. They may have however fixed this since i have left.

Very spacious rooms compared to other halls and modern furnishings. Can be a bit quieter than the other halls which could be a good or bad thing. Excellent facilities with study room and cinema room

This place overall i very good it has a great gym with all the equipment you could need and its always kept clean. The other social areas are great as well all having a modern feel to them. However the games room(ps4s) has never had any controls so make it usless. The rooms have loads of room and storage and the bathroom is more than adequate for basic needs. The kitchen /living area is good with a large sofa and tv.

Fenton house is located just below Devonshire green, approximately a 5 min walk to Devonshire street and 10 min walk to west street and the moor. The flats are modern, spacious and easy to keep clean. Every room has an en-suite bathroom which maintains a level of privacy. There is a large cinema room that I used often where you can plug your computer in to play films and private "study pods" available to save you walking to the library. 24 hour security made the place feel very safe. My only criticism is that the showers only have a shower curtain rather than a confined cubicle shower behind a glass door. This made the bathroom get wet whenever you showered. However, this was not much of a problem as long as you kept on top of keeping it clean.

The accommodation is really nice and the staff are really friendly and if you need help with anything then they will try their best and they even host social events in the common room with free pizza for occasions like Halloween and Valentine’s Day and Christmas parties , only downside is that the gate takes forever to open and then forever to shut so really anyone could walk in

Felt very safe and was in a great location. Most of the security were really lovely and helpful apart from this one bloke who loved to make things difficult and always seemed fed up.

The location of Fenton house is great, right in the middle of both campuses and round the corner from the town centre, as well as a short walk from most clubs (saving on taxis!). The rooms and kitchens have recently been refurbished so are very modern and clean looking, people are surprised that it’s student halls when visiting. The facilities here are great, including a gym, cinema room and very modern common room, all included in the monthly cost. Meeting people here is easy, especially with the common room.
