The rooms are big and the location is great, and the residence team put on a load of free events for you which is really good to make new friends, but the rooms are pretty expensive for what you get, and the en suite bathrooms aren't the nicest.

The location was ideal to get to uni and was only a short walk, the facilities included a study area and a common room. Overall social experience wasn’t great no one seemed to join in the activities and everyone kept to their own flats.

Very good facilities, rooms are good size, needs more inclusive activities for better social experience

Great location and reasonable standard- but staff grossly unhelpful, frequent breakdowns and today the toilet exploded and flooded the flat.

I love how at exam time everyone is respectful and quiet. There are people from all around the world which makes it easy to make friends. I will really miss this place.

My room type is a single room with an en-suite. The room is quite big. But I don't really like my room that much because the mattress provided is very uncomfortable. And I don't know why the heating system has to be turned on every two hour or it will go off. So imagine during a freezing winter night, you may be woken up by the cold temperatures as you cannot have the heating system turned on for the whole night. Other than that, I think everything is alright. But you know, for a person who is afraid of cold weather, i don't really recommend it.

The location is perfect - you’re so close to the uni and town centre, it’s so convent and I couldn’t imagine living further away. The down side is the maintenance isn’t kept up very well.

I live in Sheffield 3 premium ensuite accomadation. This costs a fair amount and I was put here as I came in late via clearing. The accomadation is very nice with lots of room and good features.

Broad Lane Court is the cheapest accommodation there is and is in a really good location. Showers are SO powerful. We had a huge kitchen between 7 of us and I got along really well with all my flatmates - I’m currently in second year and still living with 5 of them. Only downsides are that the rooms are quite small but there was still plenty of study spaces as there was a huge desk in my room with shelves above. No real communal area but we all just congregated in the kitchen.

It was great because it was so close to uni. The room was very small though and the furniture was really bad quality. The rent was really high vis-à-vis the size of room verses other accommodations nearby so disappointing.

The amount of building that's happened outside the flat is ridiculous. They're constantly building at stupid times in the morning. My flat is how the builders get to the roof so they're constantly going in and out in their muddy shoes and playing their radio at 7:30am (which is ridiculously early, especially for a university student). We've had 7 leaks in our flats ceiling, the floor has burn marks and so does the furniture and there was mould and the flat was a mess when we moved in. The good thing is that the building will be gone by next year and my flat will be completely redone in the summer, sadly not until after i've left. Also, the accommodation is super close to the diamond and most uni buildings which is great because you don't have to walk far compared to ranmoor and endcliffe. The social life is okay and it's easier to get to clubs than it is in Ranmoor but the social life overall isn't as good in city.

Really lovely accommodation, it’s spacious with great facilities. The location is excellent too, really close the uni, libraries and town.

Good sized rooms and location very close to university. However, people coming in and out of the building wakes me up at night as the door closing is very loud. Also the fire drills are very annoying. Washing machines don't seem to work very well and our flat doorbell from outside cannot be heard so we missed several deliveries because of this. There aren't any common rooms for socialising.

Friendly staff at reception. Common room with great facilities like games room, table tennis, pool table, football table, a cozy cinema room. Close to uni , west street, Tesco and co-op. Basically great location. Great for first years to get around uni life.

Close to west street, clubs, Tesco, co-op. Friendly staff at reception. Great for first years to get used to the uni life.

The location was rubbish, the social experience in those halls was rubbish felt very alone and singled out but the rooms were good size and good conditin

The rooms were really good quality; massive desk, good storage, and ensuite with a good shower. The common area is a good size with everything you need. Right next to uni and the libraries.

Best student hall ever. Close to the library (5mins walk) and 20 mins walk to the city. The best part is the people and activities- staffs are friendly, maintanence is efficient.

Great location like 5 minutes from the union, and close to the city centre and night life. Could do with a couple more washing machines, my advice don't leave it to Sunday because that's when everyone does it.

Decent location: you can easily access to the stations and main university buildings within 10 minutes walking distance. And pretty good facilities for £110 per week tho. However lacks social spaces and quite packed (6 people/flat)

City accommodation very good. Very close to the main university buildings and very good location relative to shopping and places to go out. Accommodation very sociable and good communal areas.

Broad Lane Court- Nice little community not too many students and most are postgrad/PhD means its usually nice and quiet, only 3 washers and 3 dryers, could do with a few more but manageable, delivery drivers can never find the place!

Excellent location - very convenient for engineering facilities and West street shops/bars etc. Socially it is more isolated as away from the main Student accommodation (Endcliffe) so quieter, but that also depends on your flat mates - it is easier to get back to your flat after a night out!
