The social experience of the halls is good, but when I arrived some stuff in the room was broken and wasn’t in great condition. Every single flat that I have been to the markings on the oven has been rubbed off so you literally cannot see what setting or temperature you are cooking at. The bin facilities are also always super full and you can never really get your bin in without slinging it over your shoulder, a bit grim. The washing machines are also overpriced but you expect that from halls. The location is really good but in general Home Park is a lot nicer. The wifi is good and I’ve never really had any issues with it, and there’s always events on in the common room, the bed is also a really good size.

Dorchester house has great facilities which are updated regularly to stay modern. Best feature of these halls are that it is across the road from ASDA and train station making it easy to go home when homesick or carry weekly food shops.

The room size and kitchen are perfect for first year students with just enough space for storage. The set out allows students to meet with each other and begin friendships encouraged by the social settings e.g. TV, pool and other social areas. The facilities given are also equipped well to aid comfortably living throughout the year.

The location of this halls is the best out of all of the halls, 2 min walk away from the train station and Asda and also the gym. Only a 10 min walk into town and beach it's just such a great location and the staff are really helpful and the rooms are new and clean!

Glad to have chosen Dorchester as it's so easy to get to places (e.g close to Asda, nightclubs, train/coach station). The facilities are pretty good but only downside is the hard beds.

Very spacious, lovely court yard, good level of security - feel safe and very welcoming. Staff are polite and more than happy to help with any problems you have.

Great location, nearby shops and clubs within walking distance. Facilities are good and rooms clean. Spacious but slightly overpriced.

Bread facilities all on site, modern areas and great size rooms compared to other halls that are available. Fills up the fastest on bookings. Located in a brilliant location right opposite the train station and only a short walk into the town centre with a frequent bus service running from outside direct to the university. (Bus pass included in rent)

Best out of all the hall options, however i just fell unlucky with the housemates I had when I moved in; so it wasn’t as nice as it should have been

Dorchester this year has been a good place for a fresher to live. Although there has been pest problems and some issues with other residents it has been a comfortable home away from home. The location of the halls isn’t great as it’s a bit far but that’s okay as you can walk everywhere. The social life is ok as the res life time try and organise big group events.

Really good location; close to bus stops for uni, supermarkets and clubs! Rooms were gorgeous, they had double beds and ensuite bathrooms. Only real problem was the quality of the wifi!

Loved Dorchester Accomadation. It was write opposite Asda, 15 minute walk from both town and the beach and really close to the other accommodations too. - the halls themselves were also well kept, modern, and new.

The location of Dorchester House is right next to a large Asda and the central train station which is convenient. The uni bus stop is right outside and therefore quick and easy especially for early mornings. The social area of Dorchester is nicely designed and they have events Almost every week with free food and competitions to win prizes that are actually decent. The rooms are spacious and include a double bed, desk area and ensuite bathroom which is easy to clean and contains a nice shower. The only downside of Dorchester is that the lift is often out of order and this can be annoying if you live on the fourth or fifth floor, especially if you are looking to take your suitcase down all of the stairs. Plus it is slightly expensive at almost 2 thousand pounds per term.

On arrival it was clear that the halls were in great condition and were well designed to suit the lifestyle of students. Big kitchens/ living space was perfect to accommodate everyone and there things. The rooms were a good size and had easy to clean en suites. The building had elevators which made carrying everything in and out far easier. Most of the staff were lovely, and went above and beyond to help. The laundry room had a decent amount of machines however they would often all be taken. Also it is a 2 min walk from the station and Asda. a 5 min walk from town. A 10 min walk from the beach

The first week was excellent - but since then I have not had a single night's sleep and I, an intellectual, do enjoy my sleep. Being the only one that cleans sucks too. Dorchester House is right next to a train station, so that sucks. At least I get a double bed.

It’s not worth the money. Staff are slow at fixing things and it’s full of bugs. Would rather have gotten different halls

Very modern, good facilities and location, friendly staff. En suite great too. Some kitchens larger than others but generally lots of space. Nice courtyard in the middle of the accommodationaccomodation

The facilities were good, but the expense for some halls is too much, especially when there isn't much of a difference between them.

Great facilities - one of the only halls with a double bed and is located right next to the first uni bus stop meaning you always get a seat! Staff are all lovely and helpful and the WiFi is surprisingly quick.

Good location, nice spacious rooms, generally facilities included in rooms are good and good social space. However, the staff can be really unorganised with repairs and communication between the team. Many times I have asked for things to be repaired in my room and it takes weeks most of the time before anything gets done after me having to remind them a number of times. Social experience within halls is great, lots of parties going on. However, not so great if you’re doing a nursing course like me and need to get a decent amount of sleep at night.

Overall Dorchester house was a good place to stay, it will clean and secure. Not downsides were the high cost and the unexpected admin fee charge at the end of the tenency

Dorchester House also lovingly known as Dorch is sick. The beds are bigger than a single which you find in most halls and the rooms are modern. Bathrooms are the perfect ensuite size. The on-site facilities are really good such as the washing room, reception and common room area. Security is really good at letting you in your room if you’ve lost your key after nights out etc and keeping the blocks safe. Good WiFi. Very sociable pres are always massive, big but not too big.

My main light has been broken since September and they keep saying they'll send someone up to fix it but no one ever comes, it's a joke and way too expensive
