Night outs are not the best. Our SU is trash most times. Very small. The city is nice, we have a beach and more beaches nearby very beautiful. Food here is not that great, not many good restaurants. Shopping is decent our shopping centre is 2 min from uni. It’s a small city so travel is nice and easy
Plymouth is a quiet and small city but can be convinenet to get around as you don't really need transport. There could be improvement to bring more brands such as itsu etc. Night life is good but could do with more events.
There are lots of good shops in the centre of Plymouth from affordable ones to designer brands. There seem to always be buses and trains running out of the centre.
The shopping is not very good, the nights out are fun. Value for money can really vary but you definitely can be clever with your money and make the most of it. The food is good with a pretty good choice of chain restaurant including those in Royal William Yard set in the beautiful setting.
Living in plymouth and being so close to aldi and iceland is great for shopping and getting good deals. There is also a lot of takeaways which is great for us uni students especially when yu come back from a late lecture and don't want to cook
The uni is in a great location in regards to the rest of the city. It's easy to get to via public transport and foot. There are plenty of choices when it comes to food, both for delivery and going out for a meal. The shopping centre is a decent size but I feel it leaves something to desire. Overall it is a good uni in a good location.
Night life is pretty weak although if you’re not afraid to walk there’s some good bars and coffee shops
Been here for 3 and a half years and i am beginning to get bored of the same nights out etc. Not many good gigs here. However, great pubs and resteraunts everywhere.
The city is not as busy and lively as where I come from- Manchester. The university is great though and I think all the lecturers and staff are quite helpful. Students and fellow colleagues are all very polite and kind.
It is a good location but isn’t near to much. Have to travel by bus mostly to get to places. There is a Tesco and asda a walk or bus ride away and one bus ride into town where there is shopping, food, bars and clubs for nights out.
Good fun close to ships in the modern part of Plymouth could do with more student deals hut not bad, would be nice if it had a few more attractions but is nice and close to adventurrs
Everything in Plymouth like food & drink is considerably cheaper than where I previously used to live. The night life is really good as there's a large amount of clubs and bars. Including the student union bar, which is really good.
