Nottingham has a city centre with a university and a lot of student accommodation in it, everything you need is within walking distance which is very convenient. Some of the night clubs can be quite far from one another albeit there is plenty of choices to cater to everybody needs with vibing atmosphere that lasts long into the early hours. The city centre is flooded with plenty of restaurants that adhere to the most acquired tastes, whether it's buffets, take aways or fine dining, the city centre spoils you for choice. Shopping can be very busy on weekends and around festive periods inevitably, but much calmer throughout the week. There is an Arboretum approximately 15 minutes walk from the city centre, literally next door to the university, this is very popular in the spring/summer times for picnics, walks, meeting up and hanging out. Nottingham definitely has a lot to offer, and a lot of hidden beauties, it's just not the city with the most to offer.

Nottingham is great for students as it's relatively cheap compared to other student hubs such as London, however there isn't a large promotion for activities outsides Bars and clubs as that is what Nottingham is primarily for. The food here is mostly all the same. Same idea, fast food. Fried food. Value for money is good. It's not too expensive but it isn't dead cheap either. It's a great place to be if you're a student as I have not seen many job opportunists in the city other than university offers.

Nottingham overall is okay, it has good shopping centres, good places to eat and overall good nightlife. However throughout the day there isn't many events or things going on to enjoy. Overall though things are quite cheap

I live in the city centre while my campus is in Clifton. I have to take a tram and a bus to uni so it takes roughly an hour to get there. All shops close at 6 so I can't do any shopping after lectures, but coming home from a night out is nice and easy with an uber.

My campus was not in Nottingham. It was in Southwell. About 40 minutes north from Nottingham. Would not recommend unless you have your own vehicle... Lovely campus however. All focused on animal studies as well as conservation. Very eco-friendly and one of the most beautiful campuses I have ever visited.

The transport system needs to be re-evaluated. You cannot use paper cash, but just coins or a “robin hood card”, sort of oyster; NFC not supported. There’s a night out for everyone at some point during the week. If it’s not Monday it shall be Sunday 7/7 deal. You’ll find your usual high street but don’t expect anything over the top, this is not Manchester size anyway. Food wise there’s everything you need, anytype of cuisine, was really impressed by it. Relatively inexpensive for the offer in show. Housing is cheap.

Location at WBS is ok. The campus is beautiful but the traffic is always dreadful and it takes ages to get in and out even if you only live a couple of minutes away! However, the campus is lovely and the facilities are great.

Nights out are alright but I don't live in the city so it's annoying to have to find transport home after. Food is not as affordable as I would like it to be. There should be more student promotions. There's not much to do in Nottingham but that doesn't bother me too much. I like that Nottingham is fairly close to London and that there are cheap transport options.

The City Campus is brilliantly located with all the best of what Nottingham has to offer right on your doorstep. Clifton Campus is rather awkward to get to from anywhere but the City Campus. The bus which actually goes into the Campus grounds does not accept student fares unlike buses going anywhere near University of Nottingham. Many of the facilities at Clifton are also only available for a limited time - unlike those in the City. Brakenhurst is located in the middle of nowhere with poor visibility and no path to safely get on Campus- especially difficult in dark and slippery winter months.

So many options for nights out which is great. The food is fantastic with all the amazing local cuisine. The shopping could be better but it is cheap and reasonably prices. Transport is great with an efficient tram service, bus system and an abundance of Ubers.

This is a good place to live in great student halls and housing close to campus. Lots of great places to eat and drink. Good transport; busses, trams and a short walk to the station.
