I’m studying at the UoN Sutton Bonington Campus. Although there is a free bus to the main campus in Nottingham city centre this takes half an hour and is not always as frequent as I’d like it to be. It makes going on nights out more effort and more expensive as a taxi to/from Nottingham costs £18.50. Sutton Bonington has one corner shop and there is a small shop on campus. In Kegworth (town where most students live) there is a co-op which is 5-10 minutes drive from campus and around 25 minutes walk. The nearest big supermarket is in Loughborough - 15 minutes drive. Sutton Bonington is quite rural and although it is quiet and pretty other than walking there is not a lot to do. Plenty of shops bars clubs and restaurants in Nottingham however if you are willing to take the bus.

I am on the Sutton Bonington campus so not actually in Nottingham. City of Nottingham is good but it is hard to get there from campus

Night outs isn’t good, there isn’t a choice of clubs for everyone. Mostly good for restaurants. Shopping isn’t as good not that many options and shops are small.
