Night life is amazing!! Less overwhelmed by the big city than I initially thought and with all the shops you have everything you could possibly need.

For students the city is fantastic, there's so much to do and you'll never be bored. The transport system is pretty good and cabs aren't too expensive. You get all the amenities of a big city with Northern prices - especially for alcohol. Nights out are pretty cheap. Overall the people are lovely and it's just a great place to be.

Manchester is a vibrant city with lots going on to suit all walks of life and interests! The nightlife is spread around different areas of the city but are all easily accessible either by walking or public transport.

Manchester is an amazing vibrant city with something for everyone. There are so many nightclubs with music for everyone, whether it be 42s for the indie genre or Antwerp Mansion for techno and drum&bass. The shopping is endless as well from well known brands such as New Look and Topshop being in the Arndale Centre or more alternative brands in Afflecks in the Northern Quarter. The Northern Quarter is also a great place to bag yourself some cheap vintage clothing. Overall, whoever you are, Manchester will have something for you to enjoy.

Right in the city centre, surrounded by hundreds of bars, restaurants, shops and any other entertainment you could think of, all accessible by either a short walk or the £1 Megabus. Or maybe you just want to chill out in All Saints' little park or Piccadilly gardens. Everything's there, it's up to you to decide what you want to do!

Brilliant city, get everything a city can offer but also very cheap. Whether you’re at UoM or MMU you’ll have a great university experience especially freshers. DO NOT MISS IT. And try as hard as you can to make sure you’re in halls in first year or you won’t really live the first year experience but it is also okay if you’re not, you’ll still have tonnes of fun

It’s the best place for everything! Anything you think you want to do you can do in Manchester! If you live in fallowfield then it’s the perfect place for a student you can pre at the tower then head to the northern quarter or factory/fifth/ 42s which is personally my favourite. It’s all such good value for money and is my favourite city!

The University of Manchester is very close to the city centre and also to the halls of accommodation. The area around the uni is full of bars and pubs for the drinkers and fast-food restaurants for the eaters!

So much things to do in this bellved city! I love the people I love the culture and oh my god I love all the differen food places one can explore! Ive been out at least 1-2 times a week and I still have not visited all the most popular and amazing food joints/eateries in manchester. Everything is clustered but not too packed at the same time and the public transport is soooo good! I love my time here in Uni so much due to all the things Manchester has to offer

Ideal location for young adults; plenty of nightclubs, pubs and lounges scattered all over the city, hundreds of places to eat and prime shopping outlets with Arndale/Market Street and Trafford Centre. Ideal value for money regardless of what you do.

A lot packed in Manchester. Cool seasonal things, like the christmas market and options of different nights out, lots of bands include Manchester on their tours - and nightbuses to get home after.

Manchester is well known as one nod the music capitals of Britain, and if you keep an eye out you will see loads of great nights, both in the centre (e.g. Warehouse project, soup kitchen and Peer hat) and further out (e.g. Hidden, White hotel and Antwerp mantion). Make sure to follow events websites and Facebook pages to get tickets while they are cheap and available!
