Banging tunes, wicked night everybody is really friendly. It’s a very safe environment. You’ll always meet someone new in the smoking area.

Nice atmosphere, will just kick out anyone drunk and not help them find/ring friends which is a big dangerous, cheap drinks, central location in Deansgate

overall very good experience if you like indie music. Best to go on a Tuesday due to 1 pound entry and 1 pound entry, therefore good to students. other days it’s 5 pounds which isn’t too bad unless you are on budget. Staff are always nice, have a chat with security and don’t wait too long for drinks. Have different playlists but constant bangers

Known now as a regular to 42’s, absolutely amazing staff including the bouncers, always friendly and up for a laugh, great atmosphere inside the club as it’s a very community like club, everyone either knows everyone, or everyone can chat to everyone, always friendly places, sick tunes which can range from Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, The Smiths all the way to Dizzy Rascal, Dead Mau5 and Eminem. Cheap drinks, cheap entry and even sometimes some all nighters ages held which start at 10:30 and end at 6:00.

The venue is great, there are tailored student nights where drinks are dirt cheap, and even on regular days you will not break the bank. The music is more on the indie side with some classic jams thrown in. A great night all year around.

What’s not to love! Great night! Great people! Cheap booze! The people are great here and I have yet to meet a student that dislikes the place! Want a great night in Manchester head here.

Really fun venue, edgy and indie layout - perfect for people into that kind of music. Great song selection, could maybe do some more older indie rock like you get in Venue. Overall banging night.

Bouncers are unreasonable, music is extremely repetitive and drinks are creeping up in price. The toilets are filthy and so is the general club, they definitely let too many people in at once, can not move.

If you like indie/rock music then this is the student night out for you. I don't know a single student who doesnt know about 42's. The venue itself seems a little bit dark and grimy but there's something about that light up tunnel that immediately gets you going. You will never have a bad night at 42's, its impossible.

Great place for a good night out, always has good tunes and is really cheap which is good for students, guest list is also a big plus!

Fantastic music and fantastic service. Cheap alcohol and great vibes every time you go. It's always a good night out there

I have spent a lot of time here in my first year, I find it extremely welcoming and the bouncers are always a great laugh. It is incredibly student friendly with great student nights at more then reasonable prices. If you want to experience the music of Manchester it is definitely the place to be

42s is the single best club I have ever experienced in my life; the tunes are great, the staff are incredible and the atmosphere is sick. The light tunnel is great for a group pic, and the murals all over the walls are great for an insta. We go as often as we can, and we’re not even close to sick of it yet. Would die for 42s.

A great indie club, with cheap entry and drinks, especially on Skint Thursdays! If you are looking for a vibey club to go out and sing your heart out 42's is the place for you.

This is a great indie night with cheap drinks and good music. Tuesday student nights are always good fun and the all nighters they pull on special events also go down a treat

Fun nightlife meeting a variety of people with fun vibes and reasonably cheap alcohol prices, however the smoking area can get crammed and the bouncers can be fairly patronising unless your not male...

Only reason why it isn’t 5/5 stars is because the venue should be bigger to accommodate more people. The music is always great. I went on St Patrick’s day and my friends and I agreed we would leave when “the next song was bad” ... we didn’t leave for a long while after we had said that! Easily the best night in Manchester for anyone who enjoys good music. Drinks aren’t extautionate either.

42nd street has had great music on every time I’ve gone it. I like it as it keep to old classics mostly but still plays a range of genres to cater for everyone. It also got lots of nights on and is cheap to enter and cheap drinks!! It’s also chilled dress too you can go dressed up or you want or not, no one really cares which is nice.
