Drink prices are pretty good and the environment is super cool. I would say the place is perfect for students. The music really suits my style overall. The location is fantastic, right in the city centre. The only place with good prices around the area as well.

Same playlist every time I go. Too loud and dirty. But if you're smashed enough it's good. It is also good if it's an event and if you get there early enough so you don't have to queue.

Cool club. Plays indie, rock, pop music. Drinks are quite cheap but £5 minimum spend on card - can get you a double spirit and mixer and a shot of tequila on the side.

One of the best indie clubs in Manchester. Friendly staff, cheap drinks and good tunes. What more do you need?

The immediate response from the staff if a positive when walking up the stairs you are greeted with numerous posters from legendary bands, it is a very student vibe with cheap entry and drinks. However the toilets are usually disgusting with broken locks and paper all over the floor but apart from that cracking nights there.

It was okay, good music but always cramped as many people go to the bar, however the drinks are cheap and the vibe is good so would recommend to anyone.

42s is a great place to go out in town, especially if you are a student! The drinks offers on Tuesday are great if you love jaegerbombs, but Skint on Thursdays is another fantastic night out at 42s! Great indie music with a fun crowd and cheap drinks.

Abso fucking fantastic. Constant belter of tunes where you can sing your heart out to. Atmosphere is lit, as well as the people who go, guaranteed to have a good laugh whilst getting pissed at the same time, defo worth it

Dead cheap, bit grotty but sometimes that’s just what you need! Not somewhere we go first, but somehow we always end up there. Always the best nights though.

Great place for those who don't like traditional clubs, good music, cheapish drinks and decent atmosphere. Some of the bouncers can be D's but cheap enough

42s is a good indie student club. You can rely on it to have a good night but they play the same music all the time so don’t go too often or you’ll get bored quite quickly. Try to add yourself to the guest list to get free entry before a certain time.

Literally the stickiest most studenty club in the whole city, it is super cheap on its student nights and couldn’t be more student friendly. Compared to deansgate locks the music is great, ending every night with Not Nineteen Forever by the Courteeners is a staple part of my first year memories and I wouldn’t change that for the world.

42s is always a guaranteed good night! Reasonably priced drinks and a great atmosphere. The staff are lovely and the bouncers like to have a laugh. Only downside to 42s is if you go too often you know which song is coming next as I’m pretty sure they only have two playlists.

The last time I visited 42s was for my birthday with my friends, the management was super and really helpful, I would 100% recommend this club as the music was really good also!

This is a really student friendly club and if you like indie music and old hits, this is the best place to be! Drinks are reasonably priced and the discount for showing your student ID at the door is an added bonus.

The best night out in Manc with a great atmosphere if you’re into prominently indie music and the best attitude towards students. The dj’s are sick and they’re always playing good tunes and fridays are the best nights by far. Value for money is good considering some other places in manc are up to 6 quid to get into and aren’t as good as 42s.

This place is one of the most chilled out clubs in Manchester that simply just has a really good vibe, great tunes (as long as you like indie), some good offers for students, never feels like it’s going to kick off and everyone’s rather friendly compared to most of the other clubs around.

Anything goes!! There's loads of good bars that you can go to for a nice drink and a good laugh. There's lots to do so you're never bored on a night out.

I like when they play smash mouth, and sometimes ABBA comes on occasionally mr bright side everyone loves it it’s a great time. DJ booth is too high for requests still try sometimes.

Amazing night out, I never fail to have fun here. The que can be proper long sometimes but that's just a testament to it's popularity. The playlist is amazing Drinks are cheap as well just stay out the bogs unless your into ket and coke

Top quality night with an amazing selection of old school bangers, and dirt cheap drinks prices. Who dosent want to listen to Oasis and the courteners at 3am?

42s is the place to go for all things indie. The small nightclub offers a friendly vibe, whilst also offering great value for money. Getting on the guest list means free entry before 11:30 on most weekdays, but entry is only a couple of quid before midnight anyway! Cheap booze, friendly security guards (if you behave!), indie tunes and good times. What more could you want?

Amazing night out. The music is superb and they normally do drink deals, however the bouncers are normally twats, but don't let that distract you from a great night out!

Really good indie atmosphere and plays a good range of obscure and classic indie and alternative songs so you never get bored! Super cheap drinks, especially the shots!
