Always a good night, sometimes a little bit to over filled so can change the mood little but other than that always fun always crazy!

Good atmosphere music and well priced drinks always enjoyed my time there, perfect for anyone into more Indie music, a nice change from other student clubs I've been to in Manchester, only issue I've ever had is a bouncer making me delete a video taken outside the venue.

Going to 42's is guaranteeing a great night. Entrance is cheap, drinks are around the £2 mark and the music is a good mix of recent and throwback tracks, playing a range from Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Wonder, Tame Impala etc. 42's was the first club I ever visited and it continues to be my favourite club in manchester- you can turn up wearing casual clothes or whatever your hearts desire and know that you will have a better time than the posh clubs around town.

Very student friendly and great atmosphere. Great music and the DJ always takes requests. Quick service at the bar and the staff always keep an eye on who has been waiting the longest to get served. Was basically my 2nd home during my first year at uni!

Great place, never feel scared on uncomfortable because staff and bouncers are on hand and are very friendly. There's a great atmosphere and people just get along. The music is right up my street, a very enjoyable night in total!

42s is the perfect night out if you enjoy indie/alternative music. Every night is full of amazing tunes, good quality but cheap drinks. Everyone is friendly there, the people who attend, the bar staff and even the security and door staff. Every night at 42s is fun and welcoming. I would recommend to any student in Manchester.

Cheap night out, dress down attire good if you're not feeling an expensive night and are into that kind of music

Best night out!!! No need to worry about getting glam so I love it. It's like your just at a gig! All staff are so lovely, Super cheap entry (one pound on certain nights with student ID) and same goes for the drinks would defo recommend The music is like indie bangers which Is amazing

The best Indie venue in Manchester. Entry for students is never more than a few quid and is often only a pound before midnight. You won't find drinks cheaper anywhere else in town. Everyone is friendly, dress code is chill and the music is second to none. Every night has a decent event on but its especially packed on Tuesdays and Fridays

Such a good night out guaranteed to play constant bangers and the drinks are so well priced for a club

Great night out, especially if you're on a budget! Cheap drinks and cheap entry, playing loads of indie classics all night! Make sure to get a picture in the famous light tunnel entrance

The music choice creates a good atmosphere. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the prices aren't too steep. You can go there with friends and enjoy a good atmosphere and have a good night.

Nice music and nice vibe. If you like indie music it is your place. They do play really good tunes. Also the entry is cheap

Brilliant music for indie lovers. The kind of dive that you like for a messy night. Cheap drinks too.

The 42's venue is relatively big, but is normally filled on a Tuesday, Friday and Saturday night. 42's normally sticks to the indie genre of music, but does tend to throw in some dance and disco tunes. The bouncers on the door tends to be friendly to us students, they have allowed me and my friends in multiple times using just one queue jump pass. The queue outside is the biggest turn off about 42's. Quite frequently we have waited in the queue but left due to the long wait. When this happens we have visited 'The Venue' which is round the corner and quite similar to 42's. However, 42's always has a lively atmosphere every time me and my friends have visited, I think due to the music.

Proper good vibe. The music is generally good indie tunes - however they can get a little repetitive after a while. Drinks are cheap, especially on certain nights and the free guest list on their social media is a great idea. Great place for students if you prefer a more rock focused scene!

Indie club with a mix of songs so suits everyone's likes. Cheap drinks maybe even too cheap. Decent size club

42s is the perfect alternative night out. Great music, friendly staff. Cheap drinks on students nights. Never any trouble.

Close to city centre and student halls, 10 min bus away at max from halls. guestlist available every night, with cheap drinks. Guaranteed a cheap and fun night with great tunes! All staff and bouncers are friendly, 100% recommend.

42s tends to play the same songs every time you go in, if you get in with the size of the queue. Drinks are a decent price and the atmosphere is quite good. Wouldn't bother going unless you like indie music and the Gallagher brothers and predrinks are a must if you want to enjoy yourself as it's grim otherwise. Make sure you bring your student card to get cheaper entry at the door and try to get there well before midnight as the queue is usually humongous and it's never good to be stood out in the rain for hours on end. It's easy to get a taxi from at the end of the night and isn't far from the city centre if people need to meet you at Piccadilly.

Great student night out - especially Tuesdays where most drinks are around £1 and it's free entry before midnight! Great music and friendly staff, my only negative is that they use a lot of disposable plastic cups on student nights (probably do avoid smashed glasses from careless drunk students) so maybe they could find a more environmentally friendly alternative then I'd give the full 5*

42's is a fun club with extremely cheap drinks and a good atmosphere. The bouncers who work there are awful though, they are very rude and have often ruined many nights out.

Alright club for freshers. Someone had a poo on the stairs when I was last there. The music isn't too bad play a lot of generic indie music which can be pretty boring unless your in to it.

Good atmosphere, good value for money, mostly friendly people who go there, only criticism is most of the same music is played everytime you go so it's better to go every so often rather than every week but always have a good night when I go
