Good location, can walk everywhere. Room is decent. Kitchen is a mess. Loud facing the union when people are out late at night; not ideal the night before an early lecture

The rooms are a good size and have everything a student needs. The kitchen is also a good size but this is the only communal area and there are often times where I wish the flat had a lounge. The walls aren’t very sound proof at all and so everything can be heard room to room. The cleaners don’t clean the kitchens properly and so you end up cleaning yourself. There is only two toilets and two showers tho I’ve rarely had to wait.

The nightlight is good because you’re in a flat with 10 people so you’re bound to make friends. The halls itself is horrible, horrible kitchens which look like a school canteen, tiny bedrooms which smell like damp and uncomfortable beds. It is so noisy and you’re constantly woken up at night by people coming and going from nights out and in the morning when the leaf blower and bin men come.

The halls are in a good location. E.g. They are on campus so really quick for getting into uni and also they are close to the city centre and lots of clubs, bars and restaurants. The flats are shared between 10 people with 2 showers and 2 toilets. Sometimes showers and toilets would be gross. But that is down to house mates and the actual facility was fine. Kitchen was also sometimes really messy but again sharing with 10 people isnt easy. There is only 1 oven and space for another so would be great to have an extra one. Also whenever there were maintenance problems, someone would usually fix it straight away. The room is a decent size with a good amount of storage and big desk, there's a sink which is very handy but the bed is a little small. The halls have quite a lot of flats and sometimes it was really noisy and would be kept awake. Overall good accommodation but for me, I found it hard to share facilities with a big group.

Room is tiny but decent enough, nice cleaners every week, no sofas in the kitchen though just uncomfortable chairs

Compared to other halls I’ve seen these halls were a lot nicer, they were modern, big kitchen, decent room size, my room even had a sink in it, two decent toilets and showers, and a storage cupboard. However, I had a few issues with the room. Most importantly the window. It was absolutely tiny and I felt like I was in a prison. Barely any sun got in and made it quite depressing. Also there was no full length mirror and I personally need a full length mirror so had to buy my own. Socially, these halls were pretty good, with 3 flats on each floor you had enough people around you. However the biggest flaw of all was there was no sofa, only a kitchen table which although is a Necessity, it was difficult to chill out at.

Overall the experience has been great. Lovely flat mates and overall a nice experience. The only problem would be the mess/ all the pans etc being burned + all the forks disappeared

The location of the halls is brilliant it’s a 5 mins walk to oxford road so you have the convinience of all the shops. Which are takeout food such as Babylon and Tesco. The bus stop to the city centre is on the road also so you are able to get to town quick and easy in 10/15 mins depending on traffic. The halls are only a short walk to uni, the art school which was the building i’m in take a 1 min walk. The uni union is also very close by. The halls are fun and have an amazing atmosphere but the onsite 24/7 security make you feel safe also.

Suitable sized rooms, with a single bed and floorspace, really big table is great. Lots of storage space and shelving is really useful. Great security with 24hr reception who are lovely people. Large kitchen, no sofa or comfort areas only one large table with hard seats, would be better if there was another oven as one between 10 people can be chaotic. Fortunately communal areas are cleaned weekly which is a saviour as some people are still used to mummy n daddy doing everything for them. Can get quite noisy but what else can you expect from student accommodation. Washing machines are very expensive. WiFi can be dodgy. Location is amazing and really makes it worth any little issues, quite cheap.

Cambridge Halls are right round the corner from the university buildings, not too far a walk from town and close to most clubs. However, even though their one of the cheaper halls, they’re nothing special. Rooms are decent but small.

Can get seriously messy due to the amount of people, and always seems to have a bad smell in the kitchen. I live on the top floor where it seems to be the worst

Location is great as it is close to all uni buildings and close to shops and nightlife. Rooms and kitchen are basic but okay. Sharing bathrooms really isn’t bad at all it’s no hassle.

The location of the accommodation was the main reason I applied to stay, it was the closest and best value for money. The facilities were okay, lots of storage in the bedrooms however we had major problems with the wifi in the kitchen all year and no one would do anything about it. The social experience was lively compared to other halls however it i my belief that this is often down to luck of the draw and who you end up sharing with.

Unbeatable location. A little pricey. Great Staff. Standard facilities. Hit and miss social experience depending on who you end up with obviously.

Incredibly social, the best place to make friends. Cheaper than all the other options with the smallest rooms. However if space isn't an issue for you then these are the halls for you. Can be very noisy and security often come and shut down afters. Other than that it's a great place. V close to everything in town to.

They halls are in a great location, 2 min walk to uni and a quick 5 min walk into town. I like how there are so many people and quite a number of flats. The most annoying thing is the fact there is no "chill out" space in each flat with sofas. Its just bedrooms and a big kitchen which isn't very comfortable when just wanting to chill out.

The facilities are basic, with often not enough cooking and shelving space for everyone in the flat (a flat of 10 with 1 very small oven, and not enough fridge or freezer spaces for one each). However, the facilities are well maintained and cleaned well by the weekly cleaner. The maintenance people are efficient and quick to respond. Overall, the halls are decent.

Great socially. To much security involvement. Average rooms and showers.

Basic rooms, great location, sociable. Kitchens could be bigger. Bathrooms are grim m8......................................................;)

Good sociable halls but with minimal luxury. Having a cleaner each week included was a massive plus side along with the excellent 24Hr reception where you can leave your keys when you go out or home.
