Fantastic hall. Great atmosphere. People were all extremely friendly and wardens always around for help. Fun and exciting during term time but also quiet and relaxing over exam period. Great facilities.

Bakewell is in a great location in terms of its proximity to the library, most campus buildings and other halls. It is also a fairly short walk from the union with a bus stop into town a 2-minute walk away. However, with it being the most expensive hall on campus it feels like there should be a better social space to get to know others rather than being stuck socialising with just your block or floor during freshers. The rooms are great, having an en-suite is definitely an advantage, as well as having cleaners. The kitchen facilities are pretty good and things generally get fixed quickly if there are any issues.

Location is good cause it's near the library, however it's far from lectures and the town. The social experience is good , all the committee are so lovely and welcoming. My room is great , a bit cold when eBaying isn't on as heating is on a timer. But other than that it is really good

Great location in the student village so always lots happening. The flat was spacious and had a large kitchen and dining area. It got cleaned once a week. There were enough cupboards and fridge space for everyone. The rooms are a decent size, with an ensuite and double bed. Really comfy.

The hall is one of the best on campus in terms of facilities and location - they are clean, modern and social. They are located in the ‘Village’ part of campus so it is centrally locates to pretty much everything on campus.

Very expensive for what they are and its really quite a cliquey hall. If you aren't loud or quite abrasive then you don't really get much of a say in anything and its hard to make friends. The kitchens are either perfect or very small depends whoch building you might be in, the bedrooms are nice but for 5 grand there isnt really a lot to them

A good hall in a great location for sport and lectures (engineering classrooms only as the other lecture halls are further away) but one of the furthest away from the union

Don’t get on with my flat mates have no common interests, the pairings shouldn’t be random. If it wasn’t for other friends then university would be pretty dull

Room was lovely and spacious as was the flat and kitchen. Was put into a flat with some lovely people and we all seemed to have something in common. Locations a bit far from the design school where I was based but it is in the centre of the student village so very sociable.

It’s on the far side of campus so choose carefully otherwise you may have a long walk to get to lectures. If you really get in to it the social is good, regular events/flat parties. The rooms are very good, all the space you need and the beds are sizable. I work on a3 and I don’t have trouble working on my desk

One of the best rooms that is available on campus. The room is well equipped with a 3/4 bed which has under bed storage and a massive desk with double wardrobe :) also has an amazing ensuite.
