London is a bright lights big city. Full of energy and endless things to do. I've found from my time here endless streets of both chain and independent places to eat suited to everyone's taste buds. From burgers and fries to dumplings, London has it all. It doesn't end there, shoppping I'd also top of the list for things to do. If it's shopping on a budget or treating yourself to high end fashion you will be able to find whatever you're looking for. London comes with an expensive price tag hence the 4 stars. but you're in one of the most well known capitals of world. Enjoy the experience and discover London in your own way.

If studying fashion this is the place to be! Meeting people, opportunities and experience happens daily. London is a career driven place giving you the inspiration to do well. It can be lonely, but it's about being outgoing and getting where you want to be. Everything is fast paced. London is expensive but it's an experience!

There's a lot to do in central London and a lot see even for people that have lived here for decades many still haven't explored the beautiful side of London at night where everyone goes out and has the best time. Many people complain that London is very expensive, surely I'll agree too. But if you explore you'll find the best restaurants and cafes that are not expensive at all!! Shops are completely everywhere. So you don't have to worry about traveling for an hour to get something you desperately need, it could just be 5 minutes away from you, which makes it great for the people who live in London.

An amazing city to live in obviously there is always something to do! Free museums and libraries for studying along with buzzin nightlife every day of the week. Loads of student nights through out the week, weekend are expensive unless you use a promotor. Only down side is level of expense of living in the capital city.

There's so much to see and do in London, it's easy to be overwhelmed. Major sights like the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace are on most visitors' itineraries, but no matter what your interests, you'll probably find something here.

Although London is undeniably one of the most expensive places to live/study, it is arguably worth it. There's always something to do - whether it's attending exciting events like film premieres or just wandering around and sightseeing. Another massive benefit is the transport links which are fantastic!

london is one of the best places in the world for single people or couples who enjoy going out, have fun. night clubs, supper clubs, restaurants, cultural centres, you name it, london has it. but with high expenses, london also is one of the most expensive cities to settle down, buy a place

Overall London is an exceptional city. In my opinion we have some of the easiest and fastest transport connections in the UK. There is never nothing to do, from arts and culture to a night out at your local pub, this city is so massive there is so much to explore. For anyone new to the city I would recommend getting acquainted with your local area first (bus stops, nearest train station, supermarket and corner shop etc, bars and restaurants) before tackling the big sights like the London Eye or The Shard. That's just because sometimes there's so much to see that it can be overwhelming. Don't worry though.

London has pretty much everything in terms of food, shopping and excursions. You can get pretty much anywhere using your oyster and can choose between the busy tourist areas for one of london's many parks. For something special I'd recommend going to the sky garden for a meal or duck and waffle for a great view of the city. You also need to go to borough market or Camden market at least once.

As the capital, London is expected to be a great place for student life. It's arguably impossible to grow tired of living here, as every single area has its own quirk with a variety of things to do every single day and night. Transport is also well-connected throughout the city. Of course, it is expensive (i.e. living costs, weekly shop, going out etc.) which is probably what makes it or breaks it for a lot of people, especially being a student. Don't let this scare you however, as it possible to live frugally whilst enjoying the best of what this city has to offer.

There is always something to do in London as a student, as long as your budget isn't too low. I find that the transport to get to and from uni is convenient, but not worth the price. The food is amazing, and there are always cheaper options when you do some research online. In terms of clubbing, my experience of London clubbing is more strict in terms of what you can wear to get entry and definitely more expensive than anywhere else! Overall, I think the London experience is definitely more exciting than anywhere else, but be prepared for the high prices.

Obviously, London is amazing for things to do, nights out, food, culture etc, and since I first became a student here the night tube started which changed nights out by making it about £30 cheaper than getting an uber home (we live in zone 3). The only downside is that south London isn't so well connected for transport so bear that in mind when you look for somewhere to live. It's possible to live quite affordably (ish) in London if you're sensible and prioritise and there are always jobs going (would recommend bar work).

Some good supermarkets in the area I.e Co-Op, Sainsbury’s, etc Not a great nightlife in Mile End but good access to other locations nearby Great variety of Halal restaurants nearby/in Whitechapel Not many things to do in the immediate area, but great access to many things via tube Westfield one stop away on the Central line which is great

The good thing about the location of my university is that it has a lot of restaurants near it. It is also close to the bus stop and the tube station.

A good location, however, expensive! Would definitely reccomend those going to University in London to be prepared for the sky high prices!

Excellent for social, networking and nights out. Just very expensive. Loads of sights to see and places to go. Camden is probably the cheapest for nights out out of the big name places especially if you get on guest lists. Proper arty, go and see the Off West End Fringe Theatre as most of it is cheaper and just as good as the mega musicals. Museums are free as well so plenty to do. Not many big supermarkets to do a weekly shop unless you live out of the city. Transport links are easy as anything.

London is awesome as a student. The nights out are at really cool clubs with great music and the chance to meet students from all over London. However the prices are expensive for everything from entertainment to eating out. However there is a way around it by saving up and so overall my this is outweighed by how much exciting stuff is happening in the city.

South ken was great for transport and attractions Felt very safe and always lots to do Reasonably Expensive to live here though especially in terms of living costs as well as going out and nightlife Eating out was fab in terms of options for restaurants and cafes

London is, as expected to be, very expensive. If you’re lucky enough to live in zone 1 or 2 you’re looking at about £90/month for travel, even more if you live outside of those zones. There’s no dedicated ‘student nights’ and if you want to go or mid week you’ll probably have to fork out for an uber or spend hours on night busses. Having said that though, there’s something about hopping on a tube for 20 minutes and getting off at trafalgar square that is so special. London is expensive, but if you’re willing to make some sacrifices, it’s totally worth it!

Amazingly diverse place to live and study, really the best way to experience life and closest to the all the big firms and companies. The only 2 downsides perhaps are 1) the price of living - you have to be open to spending a lot of money on transport, drinks and eating out. 2) if coming from the countryside, it can be difficult to adjust to the intensity and noise of living in a massive city. However, all in all, it is an amazing place to be.

London is the best capital city in the world. If you're in the centre (zones 1-2), you'll never be bored because there's an extremely wide variety of activities to partake in, restaurants to eat in, and complexes to shop in. If you're in the outskirts you may have to travel around a bit more, but with London's extensive transport network that should be a breeze! The night tube and a large number of night buses now make it easy to travel around London 24/7. The downside is that London is more expensive than other cities, and so that's quite literally the price to pay for an enriched experienced.

Great transport links and lots of stuff to do! Accommodation is expensive but nice. Lots of great well-known shops too.

My experience in London thusfar has been fantastic! The night life is incredible and you’re never short of things to do during the day. In the short amount of time studying in London, I have visited many of the iconic landmarks, seen many of my favourite bands and ventured into areas of London that I wouldn’t have even thought to go to. This might be my favourite place in the world; so far.
