Expensive drinks in clubs so you gotta pre well and buy tinnies. Amazon pantry is good for cheap alcohol, especially since you get free prime as a student.

A bit pricey, but lots to do and very convenient. Good location for uni and entertainment! Everything you need is located within a 10-15 minute walk and places for shopping and dining are everywhere.

Good diversity and good variety of food, but often very expensive. Also the city is so large that often it is counterproductive and difficult to make friends.

Really enjoying London at the moment. Nights out are fun enough but still a pricey city to be in. Cheap eats are still abound if you can find them so I suggest you scout around for deal and free events

Brilliant night out, expensive food and drinks. There’s always something to do. Can get quite expensive though. Filled with tourist spots and different experiences.

Interesting experience, might recommend but it really depends on what kind of person you are and whether or not you like alcohol.

Great! Really good not too expensive if you budget and go to affordable places/venues. Great place to be a student.

Transformational experience! London is a great place to meet people from all around the world and learn from each other. It is also an incredible location to study and start your career!

Good city, very expensive. Find the right places and it's okay though. Choose to cycle, walk or take the bus - the tube is easy but expensive.

Amazing but so expensive. Student experience is unrivalled but be prepared to work or borrow a lot of money from mum!

Nights out are fun, you will have a great number of choices for each night. The food isn’t that good if you go to mainstream restaurants and the quality of groceries are really bad aswell, but being in a big city it is easy to find alternatives. Every thing here is juste so expensive, transport and food especially.

London obviously has everything you could possibly need. New Cross has very little other than a university and some necessary amenities but has good connections to central London giving you everything you need.

London is such a great place at this time in your life. Everything is here in one (rather large) place and if you’re not bothered about seeing hundreds of people everywhere each day then London is for you. Personally I need a break from it after a term but I wouldn’t want to be studying anywhere else right now. Just be prepared for how expensive it will be - travel, rent, food, which might take a bit of getting used to as there’s not much way around it. But in terms of things to do, there’s always so much on and for students it’s one of the best times to get cheaper tickets for shows and concerts. Getting bored in London is very hard to do! Once you live a bit in London it will very soon feel like a great place to be and I recommend everyone to try it out once!

For the student who is not seeking the best nightlife in London then Royal Holloway is perfect. Yet if you want your uni experience to be defined by getting hammered on nights out, then maybe Holloway isn't the uni of your dreams.

London has always been the place to be ad is unrevivled in the rest of the UK for music, art, food, culture and just general living. However you've got to pay the price for it and it can soon become a financial void on your loan

Excellent location. Right at the heart of the city and within 1 min of oxford st station. If you love shopping you will love the location. Easy to travel to from any part of the city but the trains are always packed

Beckton is okay, there's an Asda and lidls about 8 -10 minutes away, but the nightlife is extremely poor. We have the student union bar , but it is absolutely shocking, drinks Taste like they don't have any alcohol in, the music is shockingly bad, no variety at all. Doesn't cost too much to get into central which is all sound for a night out.

The university was located in a great location across Hyde Park in South Kensington. Despite there being a lot of tourists which could make it really busy at times, the museums and shops were really close by.

Transport in East London is great, it runs till late with the overground, underground, buses and taxi’s all easily available. Westfield shopping Center is right next to the station providing easy access to shopping facilities and places to eat. In terms of night life, there’s a few pubs, some fairly cheap and some clubs and bar within a short distance. Overall, though it’s an expensive place to be, it does have a lot for it.

A prime location. You get pretty much everything, shopping centres, bars, pubs, clubs, recreational centres, and so on alongside meeting all sorts of people

London is amazing for students. There’s so much to do that’s free, the nights out are so student friendly. The only issue is the expense of living here. But if you’re savvy, you can definitely have fun in the capital. Getting student discount on travel helps but it is quite lonely if you’re not on a campus uni set up.
