Not everyone will be happy studying in London but I think it makes you more mature and ready for the real world. There’s so much to do, eat and drink but it really costs a lot. If you’ve always wanted to live here and have the money for it it’s great.

The location is good, close to greenford station & 92 bus stop, it has a very good selection of restaurants and cafes across the road.

Very expensive and very chaotic. But very good nightlife although drinks are expensive. Great transport links and lots of fun things to do and discover. There is always some event on to go and explore.shopping is great too.

Mile End, east London has quite a diverse population, which is great. Having Queen Mary University of London near by makes the area safer when compared to its crime rate in near by places, especially recently. Equally, having Stratford shopping centre near by is very convenient - just one stop away on the train or a short bus journey away. However, crime amongst teens is also high here. Public transport in the area is great and not far away from central London or close by railway stations!

UCL IoE is located in Russell Square and is very close to Euston station so it has great transport links. However due to its location the local shops are quite pricey.

London can be amazing when bored. From the endless amount of restaurants and things to do, to the hundreds of clubs. Compared to where I’m from, London is similar pricing, sometimes even cheaper. However, for students, London is incredibly overpriced, with very little help for students. Although they have a lot of things to do, you must have money to do them. Clubbing is tempermental, as you can never be 100% sure that club will be good that day. A boy trying to go clubbing in central is stupidly stressful, and having your whole night ruined because you went with 1 guy who wore something “wrong” is very jarring.

Transport: traffic, bus diversions and closed bus stops will annoy you. Night life: depends on the area but it is okay Entertainment : a lot of things to do and sometimes you dont need to spend money

Living in London is amazing in many ways for the opportunities and amount of things there is to do. However, cost is a massive factor in almost everything. With rent being so high and transport so expensive, it is often the case that essentials cost so much that you may not always see the benefit of being in London. However, in South East London where I live, there are plenty of cheap nights out and a great arts scene as well as plenty of bars and places to eat. It’s a great place to live as long as you can manage your money and are happy to work alongside uni.

I feel the location of my university is good as I generally always feel safe, as there are lots of other students around. For nights out we usually have to travel into central London as Angel itself in Lonodn doesn't have many clubs. There are lots of tubes surrounding and good variety of shops.

I have to say, didn’t think nights out in London could be so expensive and time consuming as an introvert. However, I do love me a bit of the occasional visits to exhibition around London.

The university is located in Harrow, on the western outskirts of London. However, the area is really nice and you have everything you need, regarding shopping around you. The campus is surrounded by a very nice park. The nightlife, however, is dead. Also not a lot of restaurants to choose from. But there are direct links to central London by tube. Only takes about half an hour to get there.

London (Egham, so Surrey) has its fair share of complaints about the lack of nightlife but it does has beautiful surroundings. Virginia Water Lake is 10 minutes away and Windsor 20 by car. Even though it is a 40 minute train away, London is close enough to enjoy but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle! Not much going on in the town centre but a few charity shops, Tesco, Waitrose and a few places to eat. However, the next town, Staines, is only a 5 minute train ride away and offers a shopping centre (Two Rivers), a Vuew cinema, and a lot more pubs and bars (still no clubs though). Overall, as much as it lacks clubs and that business of a city uni, it does provide the basics and provides some nice places to get away from all that uni stress. Oh! And it’s very close to Heathrow if you want a quick trip away during reading week!

ok buses between Underground and National rail stations to the campus. Sometimes the commute to campus is impossible with Thameslink running only every 15 mins to Hendon. And most of the time, trains are running late to/from Hendon and City Thameslink stations.

Drank on a night out, not very good value for money in my opinion. The drink itself didn't taste to bad but yeah too expensive.

The location is quite poor as it is in tooting, however the campus itself isn’t that bad and has some decent facilities. The food is decent aswell but fairly expensive for the amount you get. To sum it up it is not that great and well it could be made so much better. The variety of food is quite limited and the food offered is quite unhealthy aswell. However the food does taste alright and is not extremely horrible to have.

Due to my course we have very little nights out because the course demands are so high. The lectures in year two have so far been very good.

London is great there is things consdently going on. A city for all. The only downside to London is that it’s so big I sometimes feel so small and it’s iscloating especially if you don’t know anymore as it’s not the friendliest city. The nightlife is great there is something for everyone, weather you are into heavy metal or salsa dancing. It also very easy to get around the city with lots of transport links that run almost 24/7

The location of City, University of London is in Islington. It’s a short 10 minute walk from Angel and Farringdon tube stations, and about 15 from Barbican - this location makes it easy to commute to and from. Downsides of course is the cost - the uni bars/cafes are fairly cheap but anywhere outside is overpriced. There’s a shopping centre just down the road as well as a high street with all different kinds of shops and a variety of places to eat out.

Mile End is really close to Stratford so there’s lots of good opportunities for shopping and eating out. There’s also places like KFC, Nando’s and Starbucks right next to campus. There’s a Sainsbury’s and co op is walking distance from halls. Good public transport facilities Mile End station and buses. There’s no McDonald’s which sucks. As for nights out the classic Hail Marys at Drapers is decent and most other clubs are easily reached by train. It’s pretty good no major complaints apart from the McDonald’s thing. Oh there’s also the genesis cinema which is quite cute and pretty close.

Obviously there's anything you could ever want to do as it's such a big busy city. But as a student youre more of a Londoner than anything else, so can be lonely and it's expensive.

There are plenty of amenities however prices in general aren't very affordable. I used to get very cheap food reductions in a large supermarket in my home town. In London there are less big stores and more smaller express stores with higher convenience prices.
