Room was really nice once decorated with fairy lights, ensuite looks a bit like a prison but definitely worked well and did it's job. Pooley was quite notorious for it's good parties but wasn't my experience - was placed with not particularly nice people so that mightve been the problem, and it's difficult to mix with people outside your own corridor cos all the flats are locked. Having said that, all the facilities worked and worked well and was a nice environment to be in. Furthest building from the rest of the campus so is a walk to the main road .

I had a great time in Pooley House. It's a very large halls of residence, made up of two different blocks. Some flats are made up of 7 rooms and others are 9. I stayed in one with 7 which was nice but wasn't the most sociable. The rooms are fairly small, but big enough. You get a single bed, desk and small wardrobe but there is also under bed storage. The en-suite bathrooms are very small and are more like a wet room really. I had some issues with flooding but the on site maintenance are usually good at coming over quickly to fix things. There were quite a few issues with fire alarms going off randomly which was very frustrating because when they go off the water gets switched off and we did have a bad situation of 24 hours without water. The communal kitchen is a really good size and it gets cleaned every weekday by campus cleaners. The location is really good- you can be at lecture halls in 5-10 minutes and at the tube station in 15. Overall I had a really good experience at Pooley House and would recommend living there.

My accommodation was great. I had an amazing view over the entire campus with views of the canal out of my kitchen window. The halls themselves were really social and clean, I didn't feel isolated unlike a lot of my other friends who stayed in other halls at the university. The size of the room was perfect for me, especially as I had my own personal bathroom, which again was great. Being so close to my lecture halls really helped as I didn't have to travel far at all. I really enjoyed my time there and would recommend it to anyone.

Good facilities, decent sized bedroom, big desk and storage Kitchen area is nice, and bins are taken out every day. Noisy, and furthest from campus Also the bathroom is small and not very well ventilated

The room is a decent size with a good sized bathroom/ wet room. However the kitchen is over crowded.. 9 people sharing a kitchen that is not nearly big enough. The qmul website states that the kitchen will be cleaned everyday Monday to Friday. But my kitchen is cleaned only once a week, if that. My flat mates are quite boring so we don't really socialise..

The size of my room is good. My flat mates are clean. The fact that we have a cleaner every week is great. It’s at the back of the university which means it’s quiet and peaceful.

The room is super good size, it has all you need, big desk, plenty of storage space and a comfy bed (although single). The bathrooms are ensuite which is always a plus, although they're pretty small, but the shower pressure is fantastic. The kitchen is well equipped and big, with big windows too, which is great.

The building itself is decent and the rooms are a good size with good appliances, the kitchens are also a good size and they have cleaners, worst thing about it is the constant noise and parties going on. It's one of the cheapest places on campus so expect a bit of a worse experience, constant noise and being woken up early mornings a lot.

My room is great, spacious and en suite. The flat I live in is very social, with nine people, so we get to go out and explore in a group, which makes it more fun. However, there have been a lot of electric problems this semester and my flat had to move out for four days, but the uni gave us somewhere to go and kept us updated, which was nice of them.

The social aspect was amazing as the accommodation is right next to the uni and many other housing appartments best by such as Scape living. Can easily get a paid part time job on campus to earn a few extra pounds a week and the toilets and rooms are very spacious and clean

It’s a small campus so the halls are only five minutes away from most things. The social experience is great but not the best place to live if you enjoy peace and quiet. The facilities are pretty basic and so it the room but nothing wrong with either. However the only communal area is the kitchen which wasn’t great.

The location is brilliant, roughly 3 minute walk to any university building and very good travel links. Brilliant room size and a good temperature even when it's winter time. Social experience is of course down to your flat, but most seem to be very friendly.

The room was well designed and spacious. Pooley was one of the few houses with a lift in the building, making it easier when moving luggages and bulky items around!

I spent a lot of time in Pooley house and I would recommend it to any students joining Queen Mary. It's location is great, close to everything and the room standards are one of the nicest halls I've seen in QMUL.
