Overall the accommodation is good, however rooms are okay. They are spacious but the functionality of some rooms arenta that great.

The location of these halls are great because it's within walking distance of both Greenwich and Deptford which are both fantastic places to visit at the weekends. The halls themselves are very safe and secure with 24/7 security and key fobs for all gates and doors. I live in a studio flat which means I get my own kitchen and I don't have to share with other students. My whole building has these rooms so there is little social activity and interaction in my building. However if you live in a shared flat you share a kitchen which from my understanding is perfectly fine and also a lot of fun. I would say that a studio room gives you a lot of privacy and is great when I have visitors staying over. Overall the halls are completely satisfactory with a laundrette on site too, however the only downside is the price which is a little too much in my opinion for what you get. But I guess all halls in London especially are going to be like that so I would strongly recommend McMillan student village if you want somewhere safe and busy with other students.

The rooms are a decent size, the showers are great however the bathroom is very cramped. The carpets are a bit old and smelly but overall a decent room. The shared kitchens in cluster flats are cleaned often enough but sometimes depending on your flatmates this isnt enough. Pretty quick to fix any problems and a nice atmosphere if you get out of your room every now and then.

I had a very fun time here and met some interesting people. It is in a good location too, being near the river but far from uni. I did however find the room to be quite boxy and I didn't enjoy the fact that each floor and apartment was identical.

Room is good size. People I met were great. Only bad side was that people would complain about noise over absolutely nothing due to the thin walls and floors. The room above me also flooded and made my room damp. They fixed this in good time though.

When I first got there, I was shown the buildings and given a list and locations of local amenities which pleased me. The flats are very nice with en-suite bathrooms. The only thing that I disliked was the fact that my flat was particularly anti-social and didn’t wash up even my utensils after using them. Luckily I made friends with students from other flats. The only thing I would ask for is for more opportunities for socials organised by the student village as there are many flats in this student village.

When first arriving, they were very helpful at pointing out the local amenities and showing the various locations of the different buildings for instance the washing and common room. I enjoyed these halls as they had en suite bathrooms however I personally did not enjoy my flat as no one seemed to bother with washing up after using my utensils and were quite anti-social. Luckily the halls is quite large so I made friends with people from another flat. The security team are very good and we had no incidents involving crime etc. There is a Sainsbury’s just outside the halls gate which is good. The only thing I wished for was more opportunities for socials with other flats and the chance to socialise with other people more.

McMillan was a lot of fun! The room was decent, had an ansuite bathroom and the kitchen was very big. When there were maintenance problem they got them fixed quite quickly. Price back then was decent as well, less than private halls.

I live in a standard room in a six bedroom flat. We share a kitchen which is serviced by cleaners once a week, however they do not mop or take out rubbish so there is not much difference. There is an onsite laundrette which works well, but there arent enough machines in relation to the number of students living here. The gas which powers them often runs out or is shut off, leaving clothes soaking wet and no refunds are provided. There is security 24/7 at reception which is great. All post goes to reception though and I personally have had multiple issues with this. The rooms are a good size with great storage and an ensuite bathroom. The only problem with the rooms are things like heating and cooling in winter and summer respectively, and cleanliness issues. For example, stains in the carpet and strange smells upon arrival that cannot be removed, and mould in the bathrooms. The best thing about this hall is the location.

The location was convenient. Couple of supermarkets nearby and the university is a short walk away. There is a common area where students can chill and there is a launderette everyone can use. My room was too small though for the price I was paying there and it needs some redecoration.

My accommodation is brilliant. WiFi is perfect and staff and student engagement is amazing. Honestly could not have chosen a better location!

Kitchen could have a sofa or something more communal to encourage flats to socialise with each other. Room is good size with nice ensuite and really good shower. Room feels spacious and easy to decorate and lots of storage facilities.

In terms of location this hall is quite good, in walking distance to the uni but is farther than Cutty Sark or Daniel Defoe halls. The rooms are quite large and comfortable in comparison to Cutty Sark as well. A mini fridge is included in the room as well as an en suite bathroom which makes the room quite self contained. There is a laundrette on site which is extremely handy however due to constant use has frequent maintenance issues. There is wifi included however this has major congestion issues. Each room has a large desk with an ethernet port which i highly recommend any resident or future resident purchase if they desire reliable internet access.

No hot water for nearly 2 months and was only offered after all this time a twenty pound Sainsbury voucher which they 'didnt have to do'

I'm in a cluster flat and it's very spacious for student accommodation, a mini fridge in my bedroom which is a luxury most don't get. There's a common room with TV and table tennis and other social activities are hosted there. Reception are amazing and sort any maintenance problems asap, collection of post is easy and there's two shops right on the door step!

I think these are great halls. I have been in worst. Alot of great people I have met here. The only thing I would say was a downfall is there is nowhere to socialise near accommodation.

Great experience, Mcmillan has an incredible environment. Loads of flat parties that are announced in the halls Facebook group. Great to meet new people from Greenwich and Trinity university. Great facilities, en-suite bathroom, 5 people sharing a big kitchen. Amazing location too, only 15min walk to uni.
