Liverpool is a really good place to be a student as it isn't super busy like the bigger cities but is just big enough to have a lot to do! There are so many different places to go to eat and drink, and our student union put on loads of extra events for students that we wouldn't usually have access to. It's such a nice place to walk around with the docks, shops and green spaces and it's a great place to be a student!

LOVE LIVERPOOL SO MUCH! So full of students, not too small not to big town centre. Rate the nights out and there's always something on every night of the week. North is so much cheaper than midlands , delta taxis so gd :)

amazing place to live, big enough but not too big! if you live in town like I do, everywhere is basically walking distance (uni, shops, nightlife)

Liverpool is a great place to be, great for shopping, eating, and meeting people. The other great thing is that you can find lots of independent places so you can support the little guys as well.

We lived in a dorm right next to limestreet Station so the location was ace! We were basically surrounded by all the shops we would ever need as students, and only a 5 minute walk from the University. There was always something going on in the area of a day, and even more people to meet of a night time. Social life was easy too, there's so much to do from golf to food, to even walking along the water front. I absolutely loved living there, I don't see why anyone wouldn't!

Theres only 2 good places to go out, the area is very residential so it's hard to find places to go. It is a beautiful place, especially in the summer but again, its in the middle of nowhere so if you dont drive it can be hard to get to and from where ever you live and can take quite a long time.

Cracking city, always somewhere for a good pint. Lots of craft beer - never short of a pub. Worth checking out the local breweries, especially Higsons! Brewdog bar is very modern and always has the good stuff on the taps. Liverpool’s music scene is awesome, cheap gigs with some great tunes. The Beatles set it up well! History of the city, especially the docks, is defo worth seeing. Venture out of town a little to Sefton Park and Crosby beach if you can, easily done on merseyrail, highly recommended. Merseyrail are decent, strike too much in my opinion - can be a pain when that happens

Liverpool is one of the best places for nights out that I have ever experienced. It has been consistently a good time with plenty of places that you can go to as well as many of the clubs and bars having their own discounts on different nights so if you are aware of what those are then you are able to have a cheap night out as well. I've never been stuck for something to do in the day as there is always something to do however town can get really busy during peak times and can often feel very crowded to the point where people can start to get a little impatient but other than that it is fine.

Liverpool in general is a bustling city full of tourism, great nightlife, fantastic restaurants local and foreign such as Oriental/Mexican/Italian etc. We also have a wide range of shops ranging from clothing, gadgets, tech, music, gaming etc. There is always something to see that even us locals haven't seen in the sides of the streets.

Liverpool is a beautiful city with lovely people. Everybody is really friendly and helpful. Liverpool offers a wide variety of shops and places to eat out that can cater for all walks of life! Students, professionals, families! There are so many things to do here both free and at a cost. The museum of Liverpool is free and contains fish and animals and is a great day out! There is crazy golf, ghetto golf and lots of other activities to do with friends. There are hundreds of different pubs and places to meet friends! Liverpool is just wonderful! The docks is a very special romantic place as well surrounded by shops and cafes!

Love the uni, the city is beautiful with so much to see and do, plenty of tourist attractions and days out. The accommodations are in great locations both close to town and campus.

Great city, lovely local people and great friendly and energetic vibe to the city in general. Always plenty of nights out to be had in a selection of clubs and bars to suit most needs/likes. Bit of a foodie, and bond street is a paradise for me as such, all the food from there is excellent and there's almost no type of cuisine not covered by it's selection of restaurants, from all of which the food is both tasty and reasonably priced.

Liverpool is a great city. It is really pretty by the docks especially on a nice sunny day. The shopping is great, it has all the shops you need. The nightlife is also great, there are lots of free clubs with great music which is perfect for a student like myself.

I am from Co. Down in Ireland, and I wanted to go away for University. I knew a few people from my school and friends' siblings that had gone to Newcastle Upon Tyne, and having not really researched anywhere else, this is where I set my sights on going. I didn't get through the audition process for their drama course so I was back to square one. IN August I apllied for Liverpool John Moores through clearing and got in. I wasn't really sure as I didn't know that much about Liverpool but I came anyway. It was the best decision I ever made. A third of Liverpool's population are Irish, so it was actually just like being at home which was so comforting. In terms of cities, its really accessible and not that daunting, not terribly expensive and honestly so friendly. Everybody smiles as they walk past you which was just like being at home. I met my best friend over here from Wales so I felt like I was connecting with people from all over the UK. I love it here and with the industry I want to go into there are loads of opportunities so I dont see myself going home any time soon.
