Liverpool is an amazing city to live in and be a student in. In the City Center alone you can find everything you need from shops to restruants to bars, and being a fairly cheap city to live in, student life can be amazing! Liverpool has some of the most friendliest people I have ever come across and it can really become a home away from home for anyone moving here. There is an amazing choice of universities here so there will always be a course for you!

Fantastic nightlife for all ages, so many different types of cuisine, lots of free museums to see, people are very friendly and transport is easy to use.

Nightlife is really good in Liverpool- concert square can be quite busy/ tacky at times with a lot of stag do's but this is redeemed by the gritty but brilliant dock areas; baltic triangle and invisble wind factory/meraki offering a massive variety of popular and lesser-known DJs and performers. Bold Street and Lark Lane are personal favourites for shopping and food- so many independent vendors and also chains meaning that you can broaden and develop your tastes but there is always Taco Bell if you want some cheap comfort food. Overall Liverpool is quite a reasonably priced city with lots to do.

Liverpool is a great place for students as there is a wide variety of bars and clubs that do student friendly prices, making it a very affordable place to live. The shopping centre is full of affordable and fashionable shops, as well as many restaurants and take outs, making it a great place to go for a day out with friends.

Liverpool is an amazing place to live. You have the city, countryside and beach all within less than 30 minutes drive, not forgetting that manchester is only 40 minutes away (on a good traffic day). Liverpool one shopping centre is amazing, with chavasse park and albert docks a lovely place to go on a summers day and a winters evening. The people of liverpool are very friendly and helpful. The night life, especially around concert square is absolutely buzzing and there is something different on every day of the week. A city with everything you possibly need to have a fantastic time at uni!

I come from Liverpool myself and can honestly say it's a place that will always be in my heart the nightlife is great and there are many restaurants which I'd visit over and over again. The shopping centre is very accessible with public transport and a lot of car parks with the met quarter and Liverpool one there is plenty of shopping to do! the docks attract a lot.... I mean a LOT of tourists to Liverpool and can guarantee a great view.

Liverpool is a great city for student life. I enjoy the university as it is so close to the city. This makes it so much easier for the nightlife as it is a short taxi or bus journey back. One of my favourite nights out is heebies on a Thursday. This club has 3 different floors including r&b, dance and an indie floor which makes it ideal if you can't decide what genre of music you would enjoy on that's particular night. Liverpool itself is very aesthetically pleasing with like street, the museums and Liverpool one shopping centre that has good shops in

Best place to be a student, more clubs than you can count, events all over the city all throughout the year, lovely people, and beautiful views.

Lots of places to shop in Liverpool, including Liverpool 1 which is very nice. It has lots to do there and lots to see. Food is very nice in Liverpool 1 and so much to choose from. The night life in liverpool is very good. The bars are close together meaning not a lot of walking is needed on nights out. There is plenty to do in Liverpool town centre. The architecture is very interesting and a lot of historic places to see, including the beetles bar. Liverpool John Moores University is also a very good University and i have enjoyed studying there.

The city is very beautiful, shops are scattered and there are many more shops than were I usually live. The shops are massive and liverpool has many bargain stores which you can get things for cheap. The city is very lively, lots of music and entertainment going on, especially on the weekends!

After moving to Liverpool from a small market town for university, Liverpool exceeded my expectations! Everyone is so lovely, and the local amenities go beyond any other city I've visited! From bars and nightclubs, you never get bored as you always have somewhere to go! There is a large variety of food and drinks places to eat, and the staff are so friendly. Liverpool ONE is great for shopping, and there is such a wide range of shops catering everyone's needs!

It's my home city, so there may be some bias but even so it's an incredible place. There's just so much available to do, see, eat and drink! We have wonderful parks, the shopping is incredible, the variety of food places is second to none and there are so many bars to try it's like there are unlimited variations for a bar crawl! In 2008 it was the UKs capital of culture, and you can really see why! Plus, it's a pretty cheap place to live!

Liverpool is located up north, perfect for much cheaper shopping and food than other cities close to London. People are one of the nicest I've met, left me feeling at home since the start. Everyone is helpful even if their accent is hard to understand on your first try. Even though the coty is one of the big ones all important places are situated in town like good night clubs and vital shopping stops. Big parks are a taxi ride away where the local taxis offer a cheap fair deal. Love taking the local taxis as each one is a new interesting driver from around the area to talk to! Plus there's beaches a bus away! Would definitely set up here for longer!

I've been living in Liverpool for a few months and I'm loving it. It's a perfect city for students because it has a lot of things to see and do, and offers and events for students. It can be a bit expensive (the cinema for example or the bus passes) but you can find cheap restaurants and clubs, and also it's very good communicated so you can explore the city quite easily.

Liverpool: Timeless, Tradition and Thriving. From the bars to the buildings Liverpool has it all no matter you age, race, gender or interests. Liverpool has been my home for the past 3 years and originally coming from a small town up North, Liverpool was the perfect 'home away from home' for me! With the late night shopping but the lack of sky scraping buildings, Liverpool has all the perks of a busy student city without the exclusion, loneliness and wash of grey. With 2 iconic cathedrals you climb the tallest tower of the Anglican Cathedral and view the most beautiful panoramic of our city. Head down Bold Street for independent shopping with punchy colours and unique styles. 5 minutes away you hit the high street capital or shops with a HUGE primark overloading all your bargain senses, then stroll down to the iconic Albert Dock for some evening cocktails and swanky dock side Instagram moments. It truly is the capital of culture and a home away from home.
