Although a big step up from my previous town, Downham Market in Norfolk, Lincoln really does dry up after three years of uni there. The top of the hill is definitely the best bit, boasting fabulous history and quaint architecture. However, there really isn’t much else to do down the hill. Maybe I’m just salty because there is no urban outfitters
Lincoln is a small city, with both nice historic parts but also run down and dirty areas. The night life is good for the size but in no way expect a city night life. However life in Lincoln is reasonably cheap with certain night £1 singles and £2 doubles !!! The Christmas market is lovely at Christmas however during the rest of the year there is very limited amount of things to do. The transport is reasonable however train tickets are fairly expensive as you have to travel to bigger stations before you can actually get to the place you want to.
Nightlife is mediocre. Shops are average but close too early. Quite a bit of homelessness. Often see people on spice
Nice little town, however rather hard to get anywhere. Okay links to the Nottingham Airport, but usually quite expensive to get basically anywhere.
Good location, near engine shed which is a cool music venue and has club nights after sometimes. Has a nice shopping centre called Waterside with all major shops in. Lots to do.
The city is quite small, there's not a great deal to do but the fact that it's small makes travelling really easy. Plenty of clubs, not many pubs or bars. Pretty good value for money.
