Leeds is by far a city I love having grown up here! We have amazing food stalls and restaurants (and the besttttt German Market at Christmas time), with the trinity kitchen being an absolute GO TO. If you want a cheap night out then 100% go to Lloyds and Fibre (I've done a night on less than £30 many times - and that's including taxis). The backrooms good too. And walkabout for throw back music!!! Our shopping is realllyyyy good, although I'll admit it isn't the best in comparison to Manchester, for example, and that's why I haven't given a 5 star rating! You can get a 15 minute bus from the corn exchange to White Rose Shopping Centre and there's a train station 5 minutes away from Trinity Leeds so you can go just about anywhere for VERY cheap prices. We have loads of little vintage stores where you can get good bargains and it's little gems like that that make Leeds - Leeds! Leeds at Christmas time and Summer are the HIGHLIGHTS of the year with things like Gay Pride weekend and Carnival making town VERY lively and enjoyable. There's also roundhay and Hyde parks where you can go for a picnic and a stroll if you need a break from all the madness! I don't see myself leaving Leeds anytime soon!

A really friendly city where everything is close by. Trinity is a lovely shopping centre with a large variety of main stream shops and a food court with extremely affordable prices. The brand new John Lewis centre contains more high street shops and brands and is in a beautiful building. Eating out is nice with a large variety of cheaper to much more expensive restaurants. There are numerous bars, including several Wetherspoons, and Call Lane provided more upmarket bars. The nightlife is very good, with lots of easily accessible clubs dotted about the city. There are lots of things to do, such as a cinema in Trinity, Junkyard Golf in the Light and the German market which is in the city centre during Christmas. The transport is very good, with the train station located in th centre of the city and numerous bus routes going in and out of the city.

Leeds City centre is wonderful. So many places to drink and eat, with no shortage of entertainment. Even better than that is the shopping experience with trinity and white rose just outside of the city centre.

Leeds is an amazing city. There are so many bars, clubs, pubs, cafes, restaurants and plenty more. There are always a ton of events happening in the vibrant City. The night life is great and so are the northern people. This city has a charm about it

Leeds is a lovely city. It is full of students, making it a very youthful city. The nights out are great and the food is wonderful. There are plenty of vegan options. The parks are very nice and there are lots of lovely places to walk and see animals.

Great variety of nightlife. Lots of independent shops as well as the usual mainstream shops to give a unique shopping experience. Very lively city would recommend living there.

Amazing place to live, so many different places to go for food, shopping, nights out easy to get into the city centre, always a sale somewhere!

Have a good variety of night outs , but stay clear of pryzm they reassure the cup after night outs. There is a nightbus available (n1) which makes going out cheaper if you live in headingley , it runs every 30 mins. Being a bigger city it has a variety of nightclubs, my favourite is the key club (alternative rock) , but there are nightclubs for people who have different taste in music.

Good city but most restaurants on weekends close at 10\11pm so you can't go out for night cravings all groceries stores close at 9

Leeds is a great city for a night out, with loads of cool bars and nightclubs, and live music venues. There are loads of cool independent cafes and restaurants too, but these can be pricey on a student budget. It's pretty green, being really close to the dales, and has good parks. The public transport is the biggest con, with an overpriced and unreliable bus network. It's also pretty polluted!

Leeds has something to offer for everyone! Centrally located right in the middle of the north, you can take advantage of excellent and cheap bars, clubs and restaurants of every kind imaginable as well as a shopping scene good enough to compete with London. For less than £6 return on the train you can be in the beautiful rolling hills of the Yorkshire dales for when nature calls or in historic York in 20 minutes for when the culture vulture in you or visiting guest wants something different!

Leeds has plenty to offer. Cheaper than most student cities even those in the North, it has a lot to offer socially as well as being endowed with a huge variety of shops, bars, restaurants and nightclubs which offer something for every taste imaginable.

Leeds is a great student city with an inviting and enticing vibe, perfect for students wanting to mature and enjoy a student life. A wide variety of nightlife to fit whatever genre or taste appeals to you most, from indie to goth, to live music and comedy, everything you could ever want. Transportation is perfect and very easy, most students living on the outskirts with buses just £1 to the inner city.

Excellent nightlife and a range of excellent restaurants and cafes. Good value rent and good quality housing. Plenty for any student to do.

leeds is a great city and has a diverse nightlife, and events are constantly ongoing so you are never bored. trinity, white rose and other smaller shopping centres ensure you can always find what you want and there is a large student population. Value for money is fab if you're a student as everywhere is filled with student discounts.

Leeds is a city that is always full of life! It is a big change from where I live at home in a seaside town. There is a range of nightclubs as well as bars to go to at night. Plenty of places to eat out. Trinity is amazing for shopping with a wide range of shops in it. The university itself is situated in a great place. The £1 student bus fair is great.

Leeds is a great city. You're never stuck for places to go to eat, drink or shop. There is somewhere for everyone. Hyde park and Headingley areas are very student based, providing the best prices at some cool places, one being 'ARC' bar, where cocktails are 2-4-1 all day everyday and food is half price on a Tuesday. Uni of Leeds and Leeds Beckett are both between headingley and the city centre and so everything is in walking distance or just alternatively you can get the bus for £1 (student fare). If you are a party animal, there is a student night out every night of the week (excluding Sunday's but bars are still always lively and there are plenty of pubs).

Leeds offers a wide variety of things to do and embraces different cultures with its choice of restaurants, galleries and music events. Music in particular is one of Leeds strongest aspects, through the extensive range of gigs and nightlife which accommodates a broad range of tastes. The buses usually run efficientally and regularly. Events organised, such as the Indie Food festival, Live at Leeds and the Light Night make Leeds an exciting place to live.

Nice enough location, Hyde Park is nearby and it’s always pretty when it’s sunny. The walk into town is not too far but coming back there’s a massive hill.

City full of students with 100s of things to do - shopping, theatre, nights out, bars. Leeds is being called the London of the north which shows how much there is going on, but prices are starting to suffer a little bit in some areas.

Right opposite the bus station, and 20 minutes walk from the train station, ideal for transport, and ideal for shopping and nights out, being far enough from shopping and town centre for it to not be annoying, but close enough to get there easily on a night out. There's loads of places to grab coffee or a bite to eat, and only 5 minutes walk to get some quality full meals. Overall a great place to be!

Really good city to live in, the campus is lush and green in summer and everyone is really friendly and helpful. In terms of nights out they are all incred and taxis to anywhere are pretty cheap like under a tenner.

Leeds is a great city, it has everything a student could posssibly need and everything is affordable unlike London. It's also got loads of green space so it doesn't always feel like a city. The student life is buzzing and especially in Hyde park there is a massive sense of a student community which is nice. There's loads of different scenes for nightlife that suits everybody.
