Wouldnt want to go to another halls. Everyone's very chill and you have a lot of freedom here. Only problem is bed sizes are a bit small in general and the washing machines are an absolute rip off.

Facilities are overpriced. The kitchen is good size and the sofas are nice. Social life Oscar mixed depending on blocks. The block i am in it is certainly keep to your own flat or floor. Room is often very cold but are quite nice

James Baillie is a very sociable residence and is nicely located between campus and Headingley. However it’s seems it’s fairly expensive given we still have to pay for our own washing and many other things but this is probably due to having our own bathroom.

The location is okay, the social experience is amazing, the facilities could be improved, the rooms are quite spacious and the kitchen is good

In a pretty good location not too far from uni but close to headingley. Has sofas- very important. Flats and rooms are a good size and have a nice layout although there were quite a lot of maintenance problems that took a while to be fixed. Overall great social halls if a bit pricey (one tiny annoying thing is that all the plugs are under the desk)

Walkable to uni however a stretch to get to and from the city centre. Small Showers with black mould in most, good pressure though. nice sociable Kitchen layout.

James Baillie Park is by far the best halls of residence in Leeds. Yes, it may be a little further out than some of the others but it makes up for the twenty minute walk in what it offers in social experiences. James Baillie is a social hub, whatever day of the week you will always be able to find a party going on. The rooms are adequate, and really just what you would expect from student accommodation but if you are looking for luxury then James Baillie definitely isn't for you! However, if you choose James Baillie as your halls choice then you definitely won't regret it!

amazing social, doesn’t come with basic things like a kettle which you would hope the cost would cover but wouldn’t change halls even if u paid me

Alright location, better than some but not great. Sociable but sometimes too much. Rooms basic but fine.

These halls are very sociable and it is an excellent way to start your university experience. They are located about 20 minute walk from campus

If I were in ground hog day I wouldn't mind reliving a day in James Baillie. Provided it wasn't the day the sub warden shut down our MacBook party that sucked. Don't let this deter you as this was a one off, I don't think anyone had heard of a sub warden before that day. The company was above par, location is the perfect distance between Uni and the local amusements/ attractions and the common room even had Ben and Jerry's, so I didn't even need to be judged by the One stop cashier for going through 5 tubes a week. To conclude if JB was an Uber driver it would provide snacks and have a 4.8 star average, what a student halls! 4.8 do I hear you cry? Alas nobody’s perfect including our beloved James Baillie, it had hideous curtains.

The bed is terrible, the shower is always cold. I have a nice room, great view, close to Headingly and 20 minute walk to university. Close to other halls and supermarkets ect.

The room has everything you need, large desk, comfy bed and an en suite. It’s perfect location, between headingly and Hyde Park, allows you to enjoy the pretty shops in headingly but to still be part of the student buzz Hyde Park has. Everyone at JBP is up for a laugh and socialises, always going out, which is what you want for first year!!!
