High Wycombe Town

Places to shop are decent, the Eden centre is full of common highstreet stores which makes shopping easier. There are decent places to eat but not ENOUGH halal food spots which is a necessity. Two great cinemas which showcase a wide range of films, more Bollywood films need to be show and for longer periods of time.

It's a bit of a rough area to be honest. Lots of dodgy looking people walking around and homeless people abound. There are some lovely parks and it has all the shops and fast food outlets you'll ever need, however. It's also a very fun night out with lots of strange bars and pubs to visit

I lived in High Wycombe whilst studying at Buckinghamshire New University. The unibuniver is super small and the town is super small. The town consists of a nice church, a lot of pubs and gambling places. You can circle Eden Shopping Centre in an hour or so. There's Hellfire cave and the chair museum that I've never been to. I liked that everything was within walking distance. National Express is available, and a direct train to London Kings Cross.

Quite a variety of great food places at decent prices. Excellent cinemas and many places to stop for nessecities and luxuries.

High Wycombe Eden Shopping centre is good with a good range of restaurants. There is a bus station connected to the centre, making it easy to commute.

Whilst there is a new shopping centre offering a variety of shops, this is extremely cold in the winter as it is semi-outdoors. Nightlife wise there aren’t that many places to go, although a few new clubs have opened up in the past 2 years or so. Activity wise there is an outdoor pool and indoor pool up the hill, as well as bowling and cinema in the shopping centre. Food wise you have your general student eats like McDonald’s, Subway and Burger King and there is a larger Tesco express in the town centre as well as Morrison’s nearby which makes shopping a little bit cheaper. The bonus now is that Deliveroo operate in the area!

University is located in the town centre, halls, shops, pubs and train and bus station are located within the walking distance. A journey from the university to central London takes around 35 minutes on train.

High Wycombe has everything you need including many bars/pubs, shops like primark and a park. It’s not a particularly pretty place and has a bit of a homeless and drugs probably. People and generally nice and things aren’t too expensive.

Good location for a uni as it has both access to London and many luahioua countryside aspects. Good transport links to airports also. Town is okay.

The town itself is quite small and quiet for a university town, however there are the benefits of being very close to London! It’s a town which definitely has potential but for people between the ages of 18-25 I definitely feel like there’s much more of an exciting life outside of Wycombe

Right in the town centre, Bucks University is in close distance from shops, restaurants and night life. Though at times this is a temptation, being so close to the town offers stress reliefs during breaks when one can explore the town or get a bite to eat before going back to work. With a range of prices, from supermarket meal deals to restaurants out, there will be something to suit anyone's budget!

Nice place to meet new people but night life could be so much better, not many club choices........ quite a small town but close to London so good for travel

Pretty average for a small town town but provides good atmosphere. The town can be a little rough but that's like most places. Local shops are never to far.

Good small town if you’re not looking for the city vibe. Excellent shopping centre in comparison to most towns. Nightlife could be better but there’s a few small local pubs and bars which are good for a night out

Great location for a town! It’s not as busy as a city but has everything you could need and is only a 23 minute train journey away fron London.

University is right next to high street so there is a lot of lunch options, close to McDonald’s so there is coffee for late night studies in library. New club just opened close to university, also clubs and pubs offers students night and discounts.

There’s nothing to do in High Wycombe and the area is run down and resembles bad hygiene, the area seems quite rough as well
