Interesting city, full of low-key grunge and artistic fervor. Old city center juxtaposed by contemporary architecture gives it an interesting dynamic. Food scene is incredible and the vibe is cool and laid back but also cosmopolitan.

The university is situated beside the main bus station in Glasgow. It is also within walking distance of both major train stations. It is situated within 10 minutes of the main shopping streets and restaurants.

Location is great. Close enough to city centre for convineince but far enough to avoid busy city centre. Things to do: kelvin grove park & gallery, huntarian mueseum, riverside mueseum, cinema (Grovner) Nights out: loads of places within walking distance as well as clubs in city centre that can be easily accessed by underground Food: 2 main roads near by provide an array of cuisines

The University of Strathclyde is in an ideal location for students living all over Scotland. There are major bus and train links to almost every town and city at extremely affordable student-friendly rates just mere minutes from the main buildings. The university itself is right in the centre of Glasgow, meaning there is plenty to do in your off periods, including high street shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, cafes, and even a cinema. Not to mention the centre is a staple for nightlife, especially for students. Some uni buildings are situated on top of, or in the middle of a hill, which does make it quite hard bearing to get to class, but not only do you get used to it after a few week, but it’s a free workout that makes you feel good about yourself once you make it to the top!

The food is alright however it’s better to go to a food place in town. The value for money is quite good however some people disagree and say it’s far too expensive for what your getting. Nights out are always fun with cheap drink on every corner.

Glasgow city centre is compact but this means entertainment/restaurants/nights it are within easy reach of one another. Especially good for exhibitions and events (important for students at Glasgow School of Art). Eating out is inexpensive but there are many good options (eg. Paesano, Mother India Cafe, CCA). Overall an excellent place to be a student.

Good for nights out (there is a massive club scene), food, casual drinks, gigs are also plentiful if you're into them Though no really good scenery if that's what you look for unless it's in the west end which is where UOG is located. The shopping in Glasgow is excellent though.

Glasgow is a big city with a lot of character. If you love a night out, friendly Scots and a historic University you will love it here. Living in the west end is a must for Glasgow University students, which comes with a great vibe. There's lots of places to visit in Glasgow, but also the lochs and munros to wonder around.

Well located. Good nightlife and lots of places to eat. Easy to reach by public transport, only issue is parking can be expensive.

The location of GCU is one of the best things about the university. Located simply above Buchanan bus station it is a dream for students who commute from further afield, and smack bang in the centre of town which means it's walkable whether you're living West End to South Side. Should you fancy a bite to eat, GCU is only a two minute walk from Sauchiehall Street whene you can find favourites like Pret and Ask Italian, fast food giants, McDonalds and Taco Bell and the infamous vegan Flying Duck which is tucked up alongside Renfrew Lane. Should you fancy a couple drinks between classes, Walkabout and Malones are easily accessible.

Glasgow has some great things to offer and food is the best one. Nightlife is quite good with some very interesting venues. Entertainment is very good and the shopping is great with the multiple shopping centres around.

The location is excellent for food and also places to see as it is in a scenic part of Glasgow. However, it is also a more expensive part of the city.

Great city with a lot of cool options for entertaining. Whether it is shopping, a night out or eating out - the choice is diverse and most often would not disappoint. You can find everything in the city center.

I love Glasgow... when you see a slogan like “people make Glasgow” you think it’s a bunch of crap but it’s actually so true.

Glasgow literally lives true to its motto "People Make Glasgow". It is without a doubt the friendliest city in Scotland and everyone is always happy to help. There is some of the best shopping in the UK, with 5 shopping centres, amazing bars restaurants and clubs. There is always really cool events going on like you would see in London and it really is the beating heart of Scotland. Go to Edinburgh for the tourism, go to Glasgow to make a home.

There are many good clubs in Glasgow city centre. Many of them do student nights, meaning that going out is not that expensive (good as a skint student!). I would not recommend going out on a Saturday night however, as it is very expensive and quite fancy. You can tell who the students are! Glasgow city centre has all the shops that you could want, very close to the university. In terms of food, I don’t eat out a lot but when I do, I look for deals, such as ‘Mozza’ do £5 for a pizza before 5pm.

Good night life, plenty of places to go with good value for money. Always something going on. Good for shopping too
