Maclay Residences

The room is a fair size, however myself and my flatmate pay the same amount monthly (for the larger room) and yet as hers is on the corner is around another 1/3 bigger so it is probably an unfair balance of prices here. As the accommodation is pricey for what it is. However, the location is perfect for getting to and from university as well as near the west end.

The halls are not too close to university, around 20 mins walk. No shuttles available which means you should either walk or take a taxi on rainy days. Maclay is quite pricey compared to private flats on byres road which are much closer to uni. Facilities are good , fast wifi but sometimes goes down. En-suite Room is large enough. The common kitchen is not too bad (stove and microwave kind of old but function properly). Overall , the halls are good for meeting people and making friends but you can find cheaper places.
