The Old Firehouse is tucked away nicely just round the corner from John Lewis. From the outside the Old Firehouse is always buzzing with a vibrant atmosphere and is usually packed with students. The inside has a quaint charm to it, with wooden beams lining the walls and fairy lights decorating the walls. The fact that it is always jam-packed gives the Old Firehouse its uniquely lively atmosphere but also means that tables fill up first so don't arrive too late if you want to grab one (ie. Before 8pm), otherwise you could be waiting a while. Also, the pizza is a must, being too big for the average Joe but definitely manageable between 2: Would highly recommend the Greek. On most nights there is some form of entertainment on the bottom floor, ranging from the university's Acapella group to sea shanty singing folk bands, with the crowd always being quite receptive. Prices are great as well with average £10 pizza to share between 2 and would recommend their £5 pitchers which you can fill with a syrup of your choice.
