Initially, moving into my accomodation was quite shocking. There was plaster on the wall which hadn't been painted over, the room just looked unkept and not very clean. But I have now made it into my own and it has become my safe haven. There is no WiFi in my room, unless being plugged in via Ethernet cable, and so I have to use my laptop as a hotspot to connect my phone onto the internet.

A really good halls, very sociable and good fun with lots of events organised by the RA's who were very friendly, attentive and approachable. Nice rooms with a sink and two bathrooms per hallway. Cleaned often and to a good quality. JMCC (food canteen) was shared between all halls making it busy but also sociable, lively and the food was (most of the time) good.

Finishing first year the place I will miss the most is pollock halls. So much fun, so many great people. It is simply a village of fresh freshers drinking. Amazing.

Very comfortable and nice rooms, needs updating potentially but food provided is class. Needs new bathrooms

Location great, easy walk to uni. Socially its great to meet people due to it being catered. Only downside was a shared bathroom with quite a lot of people.

I had some of the best and worst times of my life so far in that little room in Lee House. Pollock Halls is a lot of fun, one of the funnest and best places which I think you could be in in first year. You meet so many people and get so many opportunities. It's clean, the food is pretty good with a massive selection every evening, a lot of cliquey vibes but still a lot of fun. Would recommend!

Living in Lee house in Pollock Halls is a wonderful way to make sure you make lots of friends. It is also located close enough to the university for it to not feel like a treck. One of my favorite experiences is that these Halls are located at the base of Arthur's Seat in case anyone is ever looking for some fresh air. When it comes to the room itself, I have a lovely, spacious single room with a desk, arm chair and sink. Toliets and showers are shared along the corridor (9 people) as well as a "pantry" (a suedo kitchen) for 18 people. The common room is available for all residents of the building as well as a second common room for quiet study.

Everything seemed to be in good nick, not all old and worn out. Stuff in the pantries could have been new. Simple room with a bed, wardrobe, two weeks and a sink but comfortably sized and not made of breizeblock. The laundry facilities are just outside the building but you can check online which washers and dryers are in use at any given time which is handy. The vibe of the place is pretty sociable, although the location of the halls complex is at least a 20 minute walk from any campus and longer to the town centre. The food at the JMCC canteen is pretty decent.
