Cardiff is honestly such a beautiful city. However, I find that everything I quite spread and and you have to be ready for a walk to get everywhere unless you live close to the city centre. The transport around Cardiff is good and time saving but you'd save a lot more money by just walking about. The nights out are great as well, I usually do Pryzm Monday and Friday, Revs on a Tuesday, the CUSU on a Wednesday, Walkabout on a Thursday, Saturday anywhere/CUSU and Sunday at Soda. There's a shopping centre called St David's with as many shops as you can think of, as well as other shops around the town centre. In terms of eating out, the restaurants are concentrated in the town centre, with a food area in St David's, city road/Crwys road also have a lot of nice food places. Cardiff Bay is also a good place to get food but a bit far from the town centre if walking, I'd recommend a train to Cardiff Bay. In terms of entertainment, the cinema in Cardiff is very cheap, for £3.60 a ticket at Cineworld.

Since I live in Cwmbran it takes a little bit of money to get there. Once I'm actually there, theres a LARGE variety of things to do. From entertainment to clothes shopping to food etc etc. The bubble tea stand near the watch song serves the BEST bubble tea, absolutely incredible (bit expensive for the amount) but well worth it. A large variety of restaurants like Nandos, TGI Fridays and a sushi restaurants! The Winter wonderland (ice skating) is incredibly fun, bit hard to get started but as soon as you can actually move a little bit; its GREAT! Fully recommend going to Cardiff. Transport is a bit hard sometimes depending on the day.

Cardiff mini-golf (located in the st.david shopping centre) top floor is an amazing place to visit. They have two really cute courses you can do and at the end you get the shoot the ball through a special 'mouth' where if you can it through the hole in the middle you win a free game. Would recommend. You also get a free drink if you show some university identification.

Lots of good places to eat including Nando's and Wagamamas. Night life is good, lots of cool bars and clubs to go to. Transport is good but there are often delays as it's such a busy city.

Great city for university students. A lot of entertainment possibilities, fancy dinner nights and lousy partys.

I moved to Cardiff in September expecting to see an overcrowded place not being able to pass through other people. I was happily surprised with what I found- a peaceful place to live with lots of parks and fresh air, an amazing environment for achieving top grades.

Plenty of clubs and bar for a chill night out. Bug variety of restaurants, however, too expensive if you are student.

A large variety of restaurants, bars and clubs. Not as much to do for a capital city but still various activities. Great shopping but a few shops not available.

A great city with lots to do - never a dull moment. However, despite it being a capital city it still feels homely and doesn't break the bank either.

The location is really good. Close walking distance to basically everything. Some lovely cafes, tea shops and shopping options in Chester centre as well as general tourist attractions for when family visit. Many bars, clubs and bars also for a fun night out on the town with friends.

Being a student Cardiff is the best place to be. Rent is cheap and so is food, if you want a movie ticket it's only going to cost you £4. The value for money you get in Cardiff is like no other university city. There's also plenty to do on a night out as well on those days you can't manage another drink. There's a great public transport system and there's Uber too.

The food shopping and nights out are all perfect apart from accommodation is quite far from the city centre and it can be quite dangerous to walk back

Cardiff University is located perfectly by the city centre. The city itself offers a whole wide range of activities, from a large night life scene, to other adventures such as exploring the Brecon Beacons. Perfect university choice for anyone from the south of the uk.

The nights out are usually too eventful and a bit same-y, although cardiff nightlife is ingenious in the ways the manage to cause havoc. Drinks are overpriced but good quality and the people are lush. The best part of Cardiff is the abundant greenery!

the best thing about this is my new trainers and I’m going back to the gym now. I’m not sure what you want me to do but I’ll probably get it done and then I’ll send it to ya. You should probably not be able to get the money. I’m sorry but I’m not doing anything

The nights out are amazing - so close the University and so much fun! People in Wales are so friendly and the capital is so accessible.

The great thing about Cardiff is that there’s always something to do. There’s numerous clubs to suit all tastes, different activities you can get up to in the day (like an Escape Room or Lazer Tag), and the value for money at the cinemas especially is great.

The nightlife in Cardiff is incredible and versatile, there is a place for all music types- ranging from buffalo drum and bass nights to live music nights out at live lounge (rock/acoustic) to your chart type music in pryzm or Glam. My personal favourite is the Cardiff SU which usually hosts regular events such as Hannah wants and Cirque de sol. There are many little indie coffee shops- underground, coffee barker, field of beans and obviously main attractions like the Cardiff Castle and the bay. Just outside of the city are beautiful beaches and mountains to climb (breacon), Cearphilly is also a couple of miles away where you can visit the castle- so there is plenty to do if you're the outdoorsy type. The shopping is great, many popular shops- theres always someone busking in the streets while you shop which is great! Overall it is considerably cheap to live in Cardiff for a capital city.

Cardiff is a nice city but for me, coming from 1.2 million Prague, it is quite small. However, almost everything I need is here, such as loads of shops, banks, restaurants, massive shopping mall and also beautiful parks. Transport though I find quite confusing and quite expensive. The city centre is lovely, especially the arcades and so is Cardiff Bay, my favourite place. There are also many students and international people, which makes the experience even more interesting.

Cardiff is an amazing city that has everything you could ever need but without the rushed grumpy vibes of most big cities. People are friendly and more willing to chat than places like london. The shops are fab, from your general hightsteeet shops to your more hidden vintage places. There's always somewhere cheap to go out, quids in pryzm Mondays, live lounge happy hour every day, retros and the free drinks packages in revs make nights out amazing and inexpensive. Loads of great pubs and bars around and so much to do. As soon as you drive out of Cardiff you're surrounded by mountains and waterfalls. Definitely an incredible place to live. Everything is within walking or cycling distance.

Cardiff is a great student city renowned for its nightlife and is brilliant for day trips. For example, to the Brecon Beacons, Barry Island, Swansea, Caerphilly. Cardiff bay and the many parks around the city also provide us with nature also. This city also holds tons of gigs. There are lots of castles so if history is jam then you're set. Just be careful of the seaguls.

Cardiff has an amazing nightlife for fans of all kinds of music and people of all backgrounds, from Drum and Bass to Rock, Cardiff has it covered. The city is filled with a large diversity of students.

Hereford College Of Arts - The perfect small town for any artists in any fields, surrounded by nature and a good amount of pubs this is fantastic to get your head down and allow your creativity to express! I chose this uni because I wanted to focus on art and leave the partying til the summer. Although this hasn't worked 100% as i've had an extremely fun and wavy time with the purest of souls!

The city centre in Cardiff is big compared to back home. With different clothing shops to purchase new items for your wardrobe. As well as restaurants and cafes to fulfil your hunger. Our lying dowe side is the maps in St Davids shopping centre need to have more of as well as being more readable to understand.
