I love Cardiff so much! It's a lovely city filled with friendly and lovely people. I am living in the town, nearby the train station and bus stations so transportation is always so easy to reach. I love the parks here, and most of them are just walking distance from town. As an Asian, I am quite picky with foods, and Cardiff provides a lot of food choices. Most of the Chinese food are legit. The Thai food in Cardiff market is affordable and yummy. Even though there's only one Korean restaurant (Kimchi) in town but the food is great! There're a couple of Malaysian food restaurants which are great as well! Entertainment wise, the movie tickets are really cheap here in the Cardiff, especially if you are a student. I am not a night person so I've never been to any club here, but I heard there's a couple of good clubs in the town.

A great city to live in! It’s got loads to offer - food, drink and a great night out!! The bay is really beautiful and definitely accessible, there’s a huge variety of shops and the fact that there are plenty of students around bro gs the city to life.

As a capital city, Cardiff is a great place that has all of the amenities you could possibly need as a student, while still being accessible by foot.

Cardiff, for visiting is a great city. Friendly people, some great views to see and many clubs to party at. It's a perfect city if you're a student looking to find a university with how cheap it is compared to most other cities in the UK and with how small it is, you're never far from where you want to be. The only real downside to Cardiff is that there is such a bad problem with homelessness in the city centre, due to the main part of the city being so small, everywhere you go you'll see someone begging which is never nice to see.

Excellent student city! It has a campus feel in the heart of Cardiff city centre. Everything is within walking distance, university, halls of residence, shops, sports facilities and bars and nightclubs. Two main universities to chose from - Cardiff University and Cardiff Metropolitan University, which offer a range of academic and vocational courses. Plenty of sporting events, restaurants and bars and nightclubs to keep you entertained. Alongside, the mountains of the Brecon Beacons and beaches of Vale of Glamorgan are all within 1 hours distance.

If I needed to some up Cardiff in a short phrase It will be “a miniature cute version of London” There is so much to do ,so much to see and because it’s so small you don’t really have to take bus anywhere which saves you a lot of money as a student

Optimal amount of defaults food chain restaurants available, however if you’re willing to venture out (which is easy given that the city isn’t big and is well linked with public transport), you can try all sorts of food from all manor of cultural background.

Lots of things to do in and around Cardiff city centre, like visiting the castle, shopping and other activities. Then you have the Cathays area which is mainly students with lots of food and drink places, places to do university work etc.

Been here for 4 years of uni and the city is perfect for student life. In my time here I haven't had a car, bus ticket, rail card or even a bike, I can get to everywhere I want or need on foot, nothing is more than 30 minutes away. Had experience living in halls of residence, shared houses and on my own and it's always been fine thanks to the people of Cardiff.

Cardiff is a place that has so many things to offer, but is still small enough to not feel like you are in a big city. Cheap public transport has gotten me around the city for over 3 years without any major issues. Cardiff offers a wide range of evening and nighttime activities and events, varying in both class and price. I'd recommend Cardiff to anyone because it has something, somewhere, for every person possible.

Amazing city, always full of excitement and adventure. The food choice is spectacular and it really shows as they are advertised everywhere. I thoroughly enjoy the night life, clubs, pubs and bars. I always feel completely safe in Cardiff. I am a student and I study at the university, everyone is so caring and really friendly.

Since moving to Cardiff for University, it have become one of my favourite cities. By living in the city centre it is apparent that there is an excellent range of shops/restaurants and activities for anyone of any age. The city also offers great job opportunities of a wide range, with it being so big. Just in our area (St.davids) there are many different food and shopping choices, even a miniature golf course. Also in the Cardiff area, there are a variety of: cinemas, clubs, markets, parks and two great stadiums. The public transport is very accessible in city as the train station is no longer than a 10 minute walk from the main shopping centre. There are also many bus stops surrounding the area, in all different parts. With the main bus stops being at Westagate Street, although you will need the right amount of change if paying by cash; as they do not give change. Although, you can make contactless car payments.

Cardiff is a brilliant city, with every form of entertainment within 2 miles of the city centre. Nothing really is too far, with most things being within walking distance. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and pubs, at a variety of prices.

Cardiff is a great, lively city with lots to do. Transport is regular, however taxis are particularly expensive for students due to taxi drivers often staying ‘fixed prices’ to places that would normally be cheaper. The variety of places to eat around Cardiff is great, and full of delicious food. It would be great to see a few more healthy places to eat.

Decent nights out but bouncers are very rude towards customers. The shopping is great with a large variety of shops to choose from. There are many things to do however they should have more dessert places

Cardiff is an amazing city. Vast range of shops, restaurants and bars. The nightlife is second to none, whether you are looking for clubs or bars or cocktails Cardiff has something for everyone. It's also situated in a beautiful part of the country, with the coast and breacon on its doorstep.

There are brilliant places to eat, a surprising number if beautiful, large parks considering it is a capital city and the value for money is excellent. It has not only a vast number of chain restayrant but original, boutiqye ones as well and there are a number of fantastic individual bars. The number of such bars has reduced in recent years because of rising costs associated woth being a small bar business so I hope this doesn't continue to shut great bars. But otherwise it is a wonderful city and the people are very friendly and easy to talk to.

Cardiff is a city that is full of life. Sanit David's shopping centre is huge and caters for all needs. The nights out are good. There is a lot of variety including bars and nightclubs. Cardiff at Christmas in particular is magical, the Christmas markets are so cute and the decorations make it feel magical. It's a cheap city where I feel safe and at home.

Lots of places to shop and eat in city centre. Good atmosphere, easy to walk to most places in the city but could use better rail links.
