Talybont South was a great experience for party goers. Although it is sometimes noisy, there was always a party to go to! The halls were a good size with plenty of storage, but some could have done with a revamp. They were warm and safe, and I never felt uneasy. As all halls, sometimes you get put with people that you don't get along with but it makes you a more tolerant person. The set up of taly south is great and your friends are never far from you.

Good location about 15 minutes away from lectures, 20 from town, very lively and fun atmosphere! Good rooms with lots of storage!

The accommodation is a 15-20 minute walk away from the main campus. The rooms are ensuite and the kitchens are a nice size. However, there can be a problem with silverfish infestations from time to time. The accommodation is the best place for social life, however the rooms are quite small and the WiFi can be unreliable at times.

My experience in these halls has been very pleasant, however, the odd time that I saw a silverfish wasn’t great.

Very noisy at night even on third floor. Not much near by but lots of other students live in Talybont so you are near friends.

Social and good location, horrible silverfish sometimes not that bad but can be grim. Lack of signal for some services proper annoying

Great location, social life is good, friendly staff, modern flats with enough space.Definitely the best halls to choose at cardiff

Compared to other universities for halls around the same price it is very basic, no sofas to sit on and tiny rooms. The location is alright because it's within walking distance of town and uni. The social aspect is what makes this good, everyone close together and living close to so many people you know.

Heating isn’t very good. Only comes on at certain times usually while I’m out at uni and majority of the time when the heat comes on it actually doesn’t heat the room as a draft comes in window. However, Good location and very socialable.

Wifi is appalling. Hot water is never hot. Infested with silverfish. It is good value for money but still a rip off for what you provide. Also a very annoying distance from anywhere. Mattress’s are probably better in prison.

Social experience is fantastic, it's a real hub for student life Facilities are all up to standard and any complaints are dealt with promptly and effectively However we have received fines for things that we had no role in breaking

Spacious rooms. Always warm. Lots of shelves. Very little cupboard space in the room. Rude cleaners. Loud at night. Fab location. No sofas/social area. Poor WiFi, never connects.

It’s not too far from uni, about 10-15 minutes depending what building you’re in. A bit further to town but taxis aren’t too expensive. The rooms are on the small side but have everything you need, I had an ensuite and it was in nice condition. It’s a shame there aren’t living rooms or common rooms but Taly social is just around the corner of you fancy socialising.

The location of the accommodation is a considerable distance from the university buildings. It is conveniently located near the Talybont Sports Centres. The socials experience in Talybont South is extremely good with loads of students staying at Talybont. The house although has silverfish infestations from time to time.

It’s basic but it does the job of somewhere to live. Silver fish are an unwanted guests. The bedrooms are small but if I’m honest you still have enough room to move around a bit. The kitchen has all the necessities you need as well.

Really sociable, haven’t experienced any of the dreaded silverfish! The halls are all clean. Although it’s not posh, it’s really nice with big flats to meet plenary of people!

Basic facilities which take ages to get working properly, such as an iron which takes years to warm up etc. Rooms are expensive for what you get but location is good.

Really great for social life, only 15 minutes walk from both campuses, 30 minutes from town. Can get slightly noisy at night so not great if you want lots of sleep but there’s always someone up for going out if you are. Rooms are small but nice and have lots of storage room.
