Location of uni is so great. Just 10 minutes up the road from a high street full of convenience stores, clothes shops, restaurants and more. There’s so much to do in such a small space is so fabulous.

Wide variety of nightlife that will cater to many people. Food is especially good as there are many independent businesses around the city to chose from. Value for money: sometimes Bristol can be expensive, overall value for money is ok. Shopping in Cabot circus is ok, very functional but does have everything you need.

Bristol is very beautiful city with lots of places to visit and a lot of good food places. U can easy find places to eat good food but most of the places are very expencive and not afortable for every student. There are a lot of shopping centres and the prices arent very high and u can easy find nice clothes on good prices. But the transport is very bad. The buses are late most of the time.

Living in Bristol is pretty pricey for housing and it can be a strain depending on your loan amount. But there's stuff always going on, loads of music events, creative events, rallys, walks and talks. Usually they're all free too! Bristol has some of the best unique foodie places including vegan junk food, and some of the best burgers going. The centre has a fab range of shops, with free promotions which take place too. Bristol is a huge city and it only takes a short walk from the centre before you're surrounded by greenery. There's a place for everyone here, it's a fab place to go to uni. It's so diverse and offers so much, especially in the way of creativity.

Bristol is a great city to live in albeit on the more expensive side. It's not too big and filled with nice little spots and greenery spots. Night outs have plenty of options in the centre and buses all have student prices! Shopping is standard UK fare but check out the independent shops in Gloucester Road and Clifton Village. Definitely recommend the city!

The location is absolutely amazing! There is so much going on in Bristol. A range of events and nights out, a complete mix of genres of music, pubs, clubs, cafes, street art - a very interesting place to live full of life! I am constantly seeing new places and hearing about things to do, the people are also very diverse and friendly, a very cool atmosphere!

Even the first night out i ever want on in Bristol was brilliant, then progressively with the better acts and new venues, it became even better and i wouldn't have picked a different city.

Bristol is an exciting and vibrant city full of colourful characters and unique locations. A trip down stokes Croft will satisfy your party needs on most any night and will also necessitate your needs for good food in the daytimes. South of the river is Bedminster with its up and coming north Street full of groovy bars and cafes it leads to the more characteristic East Street which has a ton of charity shops.

Bristol has lots to do such as we the curious, aquarium, the suspension bridge, Clifton & St Nicks market. They have special student deals on for the planetarium late at night (adults only) which is good value for money. I do think Bristol is over priced for a night out. Especially when it’s not a student night. It is only a 40minute train journey from Cardiff. There is good transport links to and from city centre.

location is good - everything is right in the middle and within 20 minutes walking distance. lots of nice pubs and places for drinking and eating out etc

UWE is quite out of the main Bristol area and doesn’t feel connected to the main city. It sits in a pretty area but isn’t particularly vibrant. Transport is good into the centre though!

Bristol is like a mini mini mini London. Very busy, full of things to do in terms of food, drinks, shopping and quirky places to just sit and chill. I’ve personally found that nights here aren’t that fun, I would rather go to uni “raves” or functions. But overall it’s a great city full of things to do - it is also very weird, and full of strange characters - I wouldn’t might staying here for a couple of more years after I graduate.

Fantastic nights out including thekla and plenty of shopping opportunities but super pricey and traffic is a pain! Check out Gloucester road for amazing charity shops and independent coffee shops. A really cool and diverse city with plenty to do and lots of cheap/free days out. Really cool place for students

Bristol is a small city and the university campus is right in the centre of it. A five minute walk from shops and the local clubs and only 10 minutes from the shopping hub called cabot circus! Accommodation for students in bristol is more expensive that most places but it is worth the price to live as centrally as I do!

Amazing city to live in, whether you are an adult , student or child. A lot of job opportunities. Beautiful scenery and it is the green capital of the UK. I attended University West of England, it is a really good university. The night life is fun with lots if restaurants, bars and clubs to choose from. Great value of money with lots of bars offering 2 for 1 cocktails throughout the city.

Bristol is a great city and ideal for uni life with so many shops making it easy to find part time work. Nightlife is great! Especially if you’re into the rave/house/techno scene. There are the occasionally rnb/hip hop/afrobeatts and basement nights every now and then. There are so many place to eat out in Bristol it’s unreal!!! The food is amazing! If you love burgers, definitely try out Hub Box, Owee Diner and Burger Theory, you won’t be disappointed.

Amazing clubs with great events every weekend and during the week. Great spots for discovering new and up-and-coming music. Not as expensive as London and has more character. Lots of vintage shops and high street and designer. Some great places to eat that aren't too expensive. Parks and forests to hang out in in the summer and many free events dotted around Bristol.

Great city, very daunting to move to but settle in fast, friendly people alot of student orientated shops, restraunts, pubs and clubs. Transport is really good buses run almost 24hr. Wouldn't recommend for those who are more reserved or quiet. But something to suit everyone!

The best thing for me is that it is local to where i live and can commute there every day easily, i have my own car luckily as bristol city council run the bus sevice and has the monopoly on first bus, although they have been building new bus lanes and roads for the buses they still have the travel fare far too high,m i think alot more people would use it if it wasnt so expensive

Bristol is a diverse city with lots of things to do. There are many clubs that offer a variation of music as well as amazing places to eat located in every part of Bristol. The harbourside offers great bars and places to chill during summer

Vibrant nightlife, lots of great clubs and quirky bars, varied music scene and alternative venues aplenty. Never feel under threat walking home even in a poorer neighbourhood.

It is a busy bustling city with lots to do and so many new people to meet! The nightlife is good but you need to be weary about which one you want to go to for safety reasons. The transport to uni from town is regular and when you are shopping at all the high street places you need, there are food places around nearly every corner! Value for money is ok here - definitely better than London! I love Bristol and recommend it to anyone.
