Endless opportunities for activities of all descriptions and budgets. From shopping to eating out to pubs and clubs, Bristol provides everything you could want

Bristol is such an artsy and vibrant location to live in with everything you need close by from sightseeing to nights out. Bristol Zoo, Clifton Suspension Bridge, Cabot Tower as well as the floating harbour side throughout Bristol are must-sees. There are plenty of museums as well as graffiti from famous artists including Banksy. Just outside of the city centre, there are areas also full of great eating places as well as nature getaways. There are plenty of bars and clubs as well as events from famous musical artists, bands to poets coming into the city. There are two big malls to shop from including Cabot Circus through to Broadmead and the Galleries and then Cribbs Causeways Mall.

Bristol is a nice city with a good mix of nature and city, without feeling too big and suffocating. Plenty of nice places to just take a walk and plenty of places to go for night outs if you're into that. Transport can be a little unreliable at times but they're constantly trying to improve!

So much to do here. It's like London without the huge crowds and queues. There's something for everyone whether it's shopping at Cabot Circus or in the smaller local areas with fantastic markets. My favourite place it eat is ZaZa Bazaar which is down on the harbour and is an all you can eat place with food from all over the world.

City is very lively yet safe. Most student accommodation are in the city thus it's a very student friendly area. There are many things to see and events that are very inclusive.

The nights out are the best but are sparsely located all over Bristol, so venturing out is a must. Lots of great places to eat, especially vegetarian and vegan.

Lovely friendly city with great food for vegans! Almost every single place I've visited has had options for all dietary requirements. So vibrant and always something to do here.

Lovely city with lots to do and see, plenty of different choices depending on the type of vibe your into, lots of places to eat and drink and for a night out, often on the pricey side however

Bristol is so viberant and has so much to offer. It's got all the high street big brands for shopping yet also had an independent shopping area and great charity shops and helps to support small businesses. The nightlife is insane and there's something on every night.

Bristol is a great city for sustainability. It is encouraged here that you cycle, buy a reusable water bottle / coffee cup. It's also full of loads of independent shops which is great. Fantastic food and good bars and pubs.

It's a great city to be a student. The food is amazing but some meals and nights out can be a bit pricey. I recommend a walk by the harbour. Its a very friendly place to live.

I love bristol, the nightlife is banging and the city itself is very beautiful an interesting. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, the ones next to the river are lovely. Good places to go out include the black swan, lakota and blue mountain. Good range of hotels and hostels. Definitely worth visiting the vintage shops such as loot vintage. All round just a really nice, interesting city with lots to do.

Amazing nights out, whatever your music taste, including cheap offers! Huge array of restaurants and shops. Then a surprising and beautiful contrast to the city vibe, the huge expands of greenery and panoramic views at the Suspension Bridge, parks and woodlands. All within easy access due to the cheap buses.

Bristol is a vibrant city which is extremely appealing to the younger crowd. This is not to say that there isn't something there that won't be appealing to everyone, however it is a student city in my opinion. I have lived there for 3 years now and have enjoyed every moment. The Cabot circus shopping mall is great, with abundances of shops to go into. The people on Bristol are extremely friendly with a well diverse range of people living there.

Amazing city with loads to do, particularly good for young people with the style of shops and array of nightclubs / event locations. The fact that friends come down to visit from other unis across the country is testament to this.

A vibrant city that has something for everyone. A great hub of culture with a plethora of music venues, art galleries and independent cinemas. Also a great variety of places to go for night outs to cater for anyone's taste. The city focuses on independent and sustainable business, with a healthy lifestyle encouraged.

Bristol is a great city for all ages. If you're a student and not sure which uni to go to, Bristol has 2 great unis that have great facilities and the halls at UWE are amazing. The city it's self has a great atmosphere in the day and the night. In the day there is loads to do between the huge amount of places to eat that serve amazing food and are reasonably priced to going to the Aquarium or the zoo. The shopping malls in Bristol are also great they have almost every shop that you can think of so you have plenty of choice. In the evening, Bristols nightlife is on the same level as Cardiff, vibrant and full of life as well as cheap drinks. What more could you ask for.
