Bristol

I chose UWE Bristol because it had partnership with my old uni. The city is lovely, average house prices but some areas are quite expensive also there are lots of places to eat and have a nice night out.

Been here for over three years, it’s a Lovely city some areas are quite cheap to rent while some are expensive. Also there are lots of places to eat, shop and have a nice night out.

Pretty expensive to live in but there’s always lidl, the clubs are good and there’s a lot of good live music. Nice countryside about. Recommend the deer park

Great city, like a smaller london. Beautiful park, solid transport links, great culture and lots of student discounts

Real nice. Beautiful. Lots of shops. Lots of things to do. Not great value for money. But ok. Night life is. Good.

Amazing city with so much going on and so many things to do. Something for everyone no matter what your tastes. Lots of different places to go out at night and for food and drink it has all your favourite chain restaurants as well as loads of small independent bars and cafes

Bristol has the perfect mix of nightlife, culture and things to do. if you're not into going out then there is still plenty of stuff to do in order to keep you busy, and if you do like going on a night life then there is plenty of choice of clubs to suit you.

Overall its a great university and evening life is greet as well.

Lots of food options and nightlife is great! With regular bus and train options it’s easy to get in and out of the city centre. Also shopping is great to do but gets highly busy Saturdays so recommend weekday evenings after 5pm as parking is only £2 in the two main car parks

Really nice local pubs. Interesting little shops in the old part of bristol. Friendly people. Nice vibe in the summer when everyone goes to the park. Would say though bristol is the most druggy city I've ever lived in. People smoking crack in the main shopping centre

The town is very far away expensive taxis. Nice places in town like clubs and pubs.not much to do. But in centre there are a lot of shops too. Expensive in pubs and in clubs. Entries are a lot too

Nights out are very good, lots of food and shopping places. Value for money is relatively low but not near London prices.

Great city to be based. There are plenty of good shopping places and quirky little shops which are amazing !! There are plenty of different food outlets as well so you’ll never get bored or fed up of eating the same thing. Using the student discount for meals out is also great as loads of the advertised discounted resutrants are nearby. If your stick for ideas on what to do or done too much shopping then there are plenty of things to get up to on your days off! Transport links are good and nearby and the buses are cheap. Don’t forget to show them your student ID to get a discounted rate

Amazing city! Loads of things to do with 2 big shopping centres (Cabot circus and Cribbs Causeway), and the Suspension Bridge. Night life is amazing aswell with reasonable prices along Gloucenter Road and city centre.

Clubs are small and a bit shit but the pubs are sick, ideal for postgrad maybe not undergrad. Very expensive compred to elsewhere but the city is amazing.

Perfect place to be, other than the constant asking of change (I wanna be able to help but If I just give them all my money I'll have none) but the scenery is beautiful, the people are hilarious and I've never felt more homely than here. I shall be staying after uni.

Bristol is an amazing city to live in, almost like a toned down London. There's always something to do, the nightlife is great, there's a lot of independent pubs and cafes and fast food places - far better than being surrounded by chain brands. Unfortunately, the prices of accommodation reflect this, and you should expect to spend around £150 pw in halls and £110 in housing. Train and bus links are good to big cities like London (could get a bus return for not much more than a tenner), although the train station isn't close to accommodation. There is a large shopping centre (Cabot Circus) which is great for shopping (duh) and finding good restaurants to get your parents to take you to when they visit. IF you do go to Bristol, your first stop must be Taka Taka, the best take out you'll ever have. Overall, I couldn't recommend Bristol enough: with its amazing acitecture, student vibe and constant life, there's no better place to spend your uni days.
