I absolutely love Bristol. The city is so upbeat and has everything you’d expect from a city - clubs, bars, a huge shopping centre and lots to do. I love the quirky side of it with all the independent coffee shops or bars or thrift shops. Clifton is the best place for a weekend stroll and cute coffee stops. The university is bang in the centre of it all - close to all the shops, trains, buses and everything you need.

UWE is a great univeristy. i may seem a little further out of the city centre than would be preferable but buses come regularly from Frenchay campus. I chose my uni based on what i had heard about it, the support they offer student, my course and Bristol itself. The city is full of things for students to do and there are lots of cool bars and pubs which offer great nights out!

Bristol is an amazing city, with a fantastic combination of history, art (banksy everywhere) and a variety of different environments like the harbour side and the suspension bridge. The night life is amazing, always a selection of good clubs to choose from and good student nights. Cabot circus provides plenty of quality shops. It is a relatively pricey city, though it's a compromise for the quality of life living there.

Location of uni is so great. Just 10 minutes up the road from a high street full of convenience stores, clothes shops, restaurants and more. There’s so much to do in such a small space is so fabulous.

Wide variety of nightlife that will cater to many people. Food is especially good as there are many independent businesses around the city to chose from. Value for money: sometimes Bristol can be expensive, overall value for money is ok. Shopping in Cabot circus is ok, very functional but does have everything you need.

Living in Bristol is pretty pricey for housing and it can be a strain depending on your loan amount. But there's stuff always going on, loads of music events, creative events, rallys, walks and talks. Usually they're all free too! Bristol has some of the best unique foodie places including vegan junk food, and some of the best burgers going. The centre has a fab range of shops, with free promotions which take place too. Bristol is a huge city and it only takes a short walk from the centre before you're surrounded by greenery. There's a place for everyone here, it's a fab place to go to uni. It's so diverse and offers so much, especially in the way of creativity.

Bristol is a great city to live in albeit on the more expensive side. It's not too big and filled with nice little spots and greenery spots. Night outs have plenty of options in the centre and buses all have student prices! Shopping is standard UK fare but check out the independent shops in Gloucester Road and Clifton Village. Definitely recommend the city!

A range of events and nights out, a complete mix of genres of music, pubs, clubs, cafes, street art - a very interesting place to live full of life! I am constantly seeing new places and hearing about things to do, the people are also very diverse and friendly, a very cool atmosphere!

Even the first night out i ever want on in Bristol was brilliant, then progressively with the better acts and new venues, it became even better and i wouldn't have picked a different city.

Bristol is an exciting and vibrant city full of colourful characters and unique locations. A trip down stokes Croft will satisfy your party needs on most any night and will also necessitate your needs for good food in the daytimes. South of the river is Bedminster with its up and coming north Street full of groovy bars and cafes it leads to the more characteristic East Street which has a ton of charity shops.

Bristol is a small city and the university campus is right in the centre of it. A five minute walk from shops and the local clubs and only 10 minutes from the shopping hub called cabot circus! Accommodation for students in bristol is more expensive that most places but it is worth the price to live as centrally as I do!

Amazing clubs with great events every weekend and during the week. Great spots for discovering new and up-and-coming music. Not as expensive as London and has more character. Lots of vintage shops and high street and designer. Some great places to eat that aren't too expensive. Parks and forests to hang out in in the summer and many free events dotted around Bristol.

Great city, very daunting to move to but settle in fast, friendly people alot of student orientated shops, restraunts, pubs and clubs. Transport is really good buses run almost 24hr. Wouldn't recommend for those who are more reserved or quiet. But something to suit everyone!

The best thing for me is that it is local to where i live and can commute there every day easily, i have my own car luckily as bristol city council run the bus sevice and has the monopoly on first bus, although they have been building new bus lanes and roads for the buses they still have the travel fare far too high,m i think alot more people would use it if it wasnt so expensive

Vibrant nightlife, lots of great clubs and quirky bars, varied music scene and alternative venues aplenty. Never feel under threat walking home even in a poorer neighbourhood.

Shopping is amazing! Pull and bear, Zara, top shop... Bristol really has them all. Great fun in the summer too, I love sitting by the harbour side and having my lunch. Nice relaxing place to take the sunshine in. Bristol is such a hidden gem in the UK and is such a great cultural city which I’m so happy and proud to be a part of. The nightlife is also amazing. Stokescroft you can have a super cheap night out and always amazing. A hub of students in this area and always really different vibes.

Bristol is such an exciting place to live with something for everyone. Highlights include internationally recognised nightclubs and live music venues, bustling night-markets, an eclectic mix of bars and restaurants and three extensive shopping centres.

I wouldn’t want to go to university anywhere else. There is plenty to do during the day from restaurants to pubs to shopping centres and Gloucester Road which hosts a wide range of culture. Nights out are also great and varied from raves at motion and Lakota to cheesy nights on the triangle and smaller, more chilled nights on Cheltenham road. Would definitely recommend.

Great uni! Bristol is an excellent city to be in, larger than some (Oxford, Durham, Cambridge) but still a manageable size for walking around.

It's a huge city, yet you feel as if you're in a small town. Lot's of beautiful, historic buildings as well as the metropolitan cityscape scene. If one doesn't appeal to you, it's only a short walk away to a different world. There's something for just about everybody here, the food and the entertainment are all top notch and the pubs are some of the best I've ever visited.
