Bristol is a vibrant city which is extremely appealing to the younger crowd. This is not to say that there isn't something there that won't be appealing to everyone, however it is a student city in my opinion. I have lived there for 3 years now and have enjoyed every moment. The Cabot circus shopping mall is great, with abundances of shops to go into. The people on Bristol are extremely friendly with a well diverse range of people living there.

Amazing city with loads to do, particularly good for young people with the style of shops and array of nightclubs / event locations. The fact that friends come down to visit from other unis across the country is testament to this.

A vibrant city that has something for everyone. A great hub of culture with a plethora of music venues, art galleries and independent cinemas. Also a great variety of places to go for night outs to cater for anyone's taste. The city focuses on independent and sustainable business, with a healthy lifestyle encouraged.

I am a postgrad student at the University of Bristol. Right after arriving here, I absolutely fell in love with this city. This city is full of greenery. It is fun to walk around the Cabot circus and try different cuisines. The nightlife in Bristol is in one word, Great!! The transportation is good too. All in all, this is a perfect place to live in.

Amazing nightlife always so mych going on! Really pretty areas such as Clifton and Redland with amazing areas, and the city centre has lots of cool vintage shops and cafes. It's a great place to live as a student and I've made loads of great memories here.

I absolutely love Bristol, moved here about 4 years ago and I'm not going anywhere. Public transport link is good and most of the time reliable. There is huge range of places to eat and to party. The atmosphere is great and people are friendly. Love it!

Bristol is a beautiful city! There's an abundance of activities offered as well as many fascinating places to eat and visit. Millennium square is gorgeous and offers many restaurants and bars. During Christmas, they open a small Christmas market and ice skating rink. Broadmead shopping center is where the larger Christmas market is and offers a variety of different food and drink options. Bristol is a very unique and energetic city. It offers the city feel yet it's cozy at the same time. Bristol offers something for people of all ages and activity levels.

A beautiful, vibrant city which effortlessly merges the edgy street scene of banksy and stokes croft with the more regal sights of Clifton and the bustling city centre. With an excellent range of shops, restaurants, bars, clubs and pubs, you would be hard pressed to find yourself with nothing to do. The city is also extremely safe with a very low crime rate. I have never felt in danger here, even alone at night. The city is extremely student friendly with a very large student population. It can get a bit pricey, but this is truly the only downside of a wonderful city.

The city centre is full of cheap, good quality food deals if you know where to look, especially with a student card, and there are a lot of independent shops/cafes. If it's warm, go sit out on the Harbourside by the river and have a beer!

Bristol is the most vibrant city and perfect for student life. On one hand, there are millions of pubs and bars (all quite cheap), and also bigger nightclubs with themes nights like ABBA, spanish reggaeton nights or with guest DJs (tickets are also quite cheap especially if you get earlybird). On the other hand Bristol is full of cafes or nice cozy places to go for brunch/lunch where you can even stay to work or study. The uni also has in my opinion the best study centres (Ive seen a few from other unis) and one of them offers a full meal for 6 pounds at the cafe that changes everyday (and have fish, meat and vegeterian options). There is also a really cool market every Sunday in the cuty centre that sells all types of food (asian, spanish, american, desserts). As for shopping... you can find ANYTHING in the shopping mall Cabot Circus and the surrounding area of broadmead. The city is also full of vintage shops dotted around, although some are quite expensive.

Most likely the best area to be for a uni student, the city itself is just completely full opportunities, great people and amazing places. The university itself is the most helpful and reassuring place I've ever been to, which has made it great. The nights out are something else, honestly they're just the best I've ever experienced.

Bristol is a gorgeous city full of life and culture. Whether you want nights out, coffee dates, independent stores or aesthetic restaurants this city has it all. The Christmas Market is amazing and harbourside is a beautiful place for a walk or a meal out any time of the year. My favourite thing about Bristol is it doesn't have the big, crowded feel most cities do. It has everything cities have that make them great but feels as friendly as a town.

Bristol is an amazing town to visit and live with night life being good and the food available at Bristol being phenomenal, particularly in Cabot circus there is a good range of places to eat within close range of each other so your never have lack of choice. Bristol harbour is also amazing with Bristol harbour festival happening every year which brings all the locals and people outside Bristol together. Areas are being redeveloped rapidly for example Wapping Wharf well known for new trendy food places and small shops. Shopping in Bristol is also great with Cabot circus being predominant including lots of good shops for youth such a urban outfitters and Monki. As well as many shoe shops for all age groups

Nights out are insane! There is so much variety so whatever music your into there's something for you! As for the shopping that's also amazing! Depending on whether you live city centre or a bit further out it can literally be a 2 minute walk to one of the best shopping centres in the country.

The city of Bristol is full of life, energy and happy vibes. All the people seem utterly friendly. Best of all is the food, as it appears Bristol is a city with all the best Burger places to offer! So much choice and such unique ideas. But one of the best parts about Bristol is that you can walk 10 minutes out of the city and be in peace. Field upon field and surrounded by trees and morning dew, which is ideal for those who are true country girls at heart. All of these reasons are why Bristol is my favourite place to be in the UK.

In short: Fun, vibrant and dynamic There's always something to do in Bristol. Love nature? There's plenty of green space within the city. Feeling cultural? Museums and historic sites are plenty. You've got the ultimate photogenic spot at the clifton observatory as well. Fancy a night out? You're spoiled for choice. From the smaller, local acts to big MCs and DJs passing through the city, Bristol is blessed with an incredible night life. As you can tell, I love this city.

Great city, lots of nice local places to eat and drink and lots of independent shops. There is lots going on in Bristol with events such as festivals, markets etc happening most weekends. It is easy to get to green spaces with lots of nice areas to visit for walks nearby. Living costs are higher than other cities but in my opinion it is worth it.
