For the cheapest central Bristol halls, the quality of the actual premises & facilities themselves were very much advocating the cheapest. For the actual price I paid for 9 months (near enough £6500) I was left wondering how on Earth this was the cheapest. It hadn’t been refurbished since it was converted into halls I think. That being said I thoroughly enjoyed it. The location was excellent, very central, close to town and temple meads. I met some amazing people there who I’m still friends with now. Though there was no actual common room in the building, the lounge areas were big enough. My room was massive, although I paid an extra grand I think it was for the luxury of an ensuite bathroom and larger room, which I don’t regret at all. My room was triple the size of the others in the flat, which I must say were very decently sized anyway. The WiFi was good enough from what I remember.

Great and responsive staff, I mean it's the cheapest accommodation but you wouldn't know apart from a couple of boiler issues and leaks but the maintenance fixes the problems very quickly. Great location in town near everything you want.

I enjoyed my year in Transom house but it was my fourth choice of accommodation. The building wasn't great. The walls needed painting, the building shook every time a lorry drove past and my flatmate's window was cracked when he moved in and after telling them about it they came and boarded it up, leaving it for the rest of the year. However, the people I lived with were lovely and there were always loads of flat parties to go to which could go on late because wall between flats are thick and it's not in a residential area. It was a good place to be for my first year of uni but I'm glad I'm not there now.

Good location very central, only problem is there are no social areas so if you're stuck with boring flatmates then you have to deal with it. Luckily i came here with friends at other accommodations. Receptionist is nice but it would be nice if she stayed at her office so we could collect parcels easier.
