No social area for students in the MPQR block. Also, MPQR residents pay the same amount as people in the main quad where rooms have a double bed and basins in their room. Meals don't cater for all dietary requirements despite mentioning them in the form.

Far from city centre but overall quite a nice hall. Nice people and have a bar and common room with pools and table football. Room is alright. QUite a nice experience in Churchill hall overall.

Great rooms, spacious, with double bed and basin. Friendly social scene with something for everyone, those that like going out and those that prefer a quiet night in. Library and bar in halls. On Stoke Bishop campus which is 30 min walk or a short bus ride away from university however generally more sociable than city centre or Clifton halls which are more dispersed throughout the city. Would highly recommend.

Really enjoyed this Hall - spacious rooms and the quad makes it very sociable. On site library which is good on the weekends if you don't want to bus into uni and lots of social events going on. Big dining hall and next to the botanical gardens.

Location is great - just outside of town on the edge of the leafy downs. A short 20 minute walk into the Uni campus or get the free bus. Churchill Hall is catered and the meals were fantastic. Mealtimes are very social and it's a great time to catch up with friends or meet people. The Halls itself has a lovely grassy quad area to relax in with friends. Other facilities include a lively bar. Churchill is a social hall and will suit outgoing individuals. My room was in 'the Holmes' - a converted Manor House next to the main Halls building. My room was large and spacious with communal kitchen and dining areas.

Room size is good and the layout is very practical, including a double bed. Great outside space however a long way from University Campus. The food is not fantastic, and the hours to which you can eat are very limited. There is an on site bar which is cheap and sociable as well as two large communal areas which although are fun, they are too large for meeting up with friends. Overall, there is a lack of small common rooms. In your block there are small kitchenettes on most floors which provide a fridge and microwave. An oven would be great. Cleaning is very limited and only in communal areas. Very expensive!

Being part of Stoke Bishop is fantastic if you are a first year. It’s where the majority of them are so you build strong social connections here. Only downside is a decent walk or a bus into uni. Great sized room, was sharing for the first month or so, but now have my own room with a double bed!! The majority of rooms have doubles!!

I think going to halls has been my best choice so far in my uni life. The toilets and the kitchen are a bit gross sometimes, yes. But I reckon it is all part of the experience. In addition, you feel more supported by other students and the halls staff.

Excellent food, only downside is it’s distance from the Centre and also it’s distance to the transport hub.

Churchill is a really social and friendly hall. There are only 2 mayor issues, the first one is the distance to university ( more than 2 miles), the second one is that the newer part of the hall is tiny.

Located in stoke bishop, you do have to take the bus to get pretty much anywhere which is s pain. Besides that great hall, amazing quad and great people. Very boarding school though, it's like boarding school never ended. Great people nonetheless. Dinners are debatable, being good only once in a while. On the other hand breakfast and weekend brunches and amazing.

The rooms in the main quad are a decent size however the ones in MPQR block are very small but socially more fun. The bar is good and there are good student facilities. Catering is not the best and definitely not worth the amount you pay.

It's decent for social life. The toilets can get abit grim (shared bathrooms). The price is too high at £185. We are catered and the food can be really bad. I also believe we should get 3 meals a day for the price and not just 2. I think overall Churchill is an okay halls, but the social aspect makes it something more than a regular university halls

Being a catered hall there was no small communal kitchen area to meet people on your corridor and hang out in, so for shy people it was hard to get to know people in the large dining hall. But the rooms on the quad were lovely, supplied with ample bathroom facilities.

Stoke Bishop has a great campus feel to it. Churchill is located at the top of Stoke Bishop next to the stunning botanical gardens. In my experience everyone in Churchill was really fun, interesting and there was a real sense of community. The bedrooms are a great size and the facilities are ideal.

Room was really nice- it was small but had lots of storage space and a comfy bed. The food was mostly excellent
