A night is so expensive, buying drink is just a lot of money. Even, food is expensive its hard to spend that amount of money when your a student.

It's a big beautiful city. One has to appreciate the fact that it went from a heavily industrial city to a touristy one, with dozens of places to eat, places to shop and places to go out.

The best place to go out is Lab 11 in digbeth, it hosts some of the best underground music events with regular house, techno and dnb Events

Birmingham city is a vibrant place, for all students. Whether that's international or home students, there is something for everyone to enjoy! Such a diverse city, you can experience many different cultures without having to go out of the city itself.

I love Birmingham! It's only a quick bus ride from campus (any x bus for only £1 with student card) to new street station and quick walk to bullring. At the moment (Christmas) the bull ring is decked out with Christmas decorations and lights as well as the German markets, selling hot mulled wine and churros- enough to get anyone in the Christmas spirit! I love how convenient it is, like a mini oxford street with all the must have shops including urban outfitters, Nando's and top shop.

I have been living in Birmingham for as long as I can remember and I have grown with the city. Even when you believe that you have run out of things to do, somewhere opens your eyes to a new possibility. With bars of all kinds dotted around, there is something for everybody and never a dull moment whether you are just relaxing with a nice meal or making your way around the city for a pub crawl.

There are very good transport links in Birmingham, with the intercity trains, trams and buses. The Bullring and Grand Central have a large number of shops with lots of variety, including all of the main high street brands, which extends out onto New Street and beyond. There are also lots of places to eat, including in the Bullring, St Martin's, the Chinese Quarter and Brindleyplace. There are several free things to do in the city, including the museum and BBC experience, and green places such as Winterbourne gardens. There is a good choice of nightclubs and bars on Broad street.

Birmingham is a vibrant and culturally diverse city with a great nightlife, there's many places you can go with tonnes of public transport options if you're not a driver! Home to the Bullring, and other iconic destinations, Birmingham is the best place you could live as a student.

Birmingham offers a unique range of amazing stores which advertise to people of all ages styles and cultures. They have high end shops such as Gucci and Louis Vuitton to low end shops like primark

All of the major shops, all in one easy place, all within walking distance of restaurants, bars and clubs. Nights out always a good laugh and lots of clubs to chose from, or even do a bar crawl, however packed with students from birmingham's 3 main unis, however means a lot of them are cheap. everything very close to train station and lots of bus routes available.

My city is amazing! I get to eat amazing food and shop at all the brands I love! I have so many cool places which are close to me! For example: broadway plaza, cinema, bullring, parks and much more! One of the best things about my city is the amazing transport!

Lovely city, lots to do, especially the nightlife! Food on every street and shopping to your heart's content (Bullring!). Chinatown round the corner from the city centre. Lots to see and do.

As an international student, the variety of food is above average. Having Chinatown in the city centre, you can get almost anything you want. Authentic Vietnamese food, dim sum, korean BBQ, legit Japanese food and bubble tea. Cinemas are great too, with cheap tickets for students. Shopping in Bullring and Grand Central is also superb, all the shops are there in one stop. Very convenient city, and easy to get around too with good bus connections and a well-facilitated train station in the city.

Everything is very close, such as the train station, food places, the shopping centre making it more concierge for living the student life because u get to save money on transport. The nights out are very good as They are in walking distance and there are so many different types of clubs that u will not get bored of. The entertainment could be a bit better however there is a bit to do such as ice skating, go karting, however the amount of money u spend on these activities add up to a lot of money

I really like Birmingham. I have been living her since birth and to be honest there are so many places to go and see and discover. A night out is great as there are many restaurants available and there are so many great things on the menu. My favourite hobby has got to be shopping, however it does waste a lot of my money. If i had the chance i would go shopping all the time. I love my local area as there are many shops and also i love visiting the bullring and the new square in West Brom

A great busy, bustling city with lots to do! With the Bull Ring and New Street Station, there's plenty of shops and restaurants to fill a day out, and there's even more shops out on the high street. One of the biggest highlights of the year is the Birmingham Christmas market, which I recommend to everyone who is able to make it! It is a great day out and will certainly get you in the Christmas spirit!

Birmingham is a major city in England's West Midlands region, with multiple Industrial Revolution-era landmarks that speak to its 18th-century history as a manufacturing powerhouse. It's also home to a network of canals, many of which radiate from Sherborne Wharf and are now lined with trendy cafes and bars. In the city centre, the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery is known for pre-Raphaelite masterpieces.
