The halls are situated around 15 minutes away from the main university campus. They are quite confident due to their closeness to a large spar a minute away and then a few hundred metres away a large Tesco on the lisburn road. However for the nightlife it is quite awkward and far away. It was easy to meet friends however events held at Elms are often catered for international students. Ping pong and pool tables were provided as well as board games and an Xbox to provide for people's social needs as well as relaxing sofa areas in the treehouse. Staff at elms were largely friendly apart from security who were very intimidating and threatening towards students. The room for standard an shite was very basic quite similar to a prison cell vibe the light did not properly cover the entire room especially when looking in cupboards. The internet was fast but would cut out at times depending on where you were, in the kitchen. It was nearly non existent. Overall it was a good experience quite good value for money.

The halls themselves were clean and a cleaner came in each week. 8 rooms per halls was a good number. However, it was very expensive and there were not many student activités held.

The security is very strict and quite impractical for normal university life. Noise is strictly controlled which can be both irritating and convenient, but is certainly understandable in university halls. Generally, facilities are satisfactory but considering the cost and the fact that the accommodation is about a 20 minute walk from uni, the halls aren’t amazing.

Good as you pay for bills however security is a bit unnecessarily strong. Takes a long time to get mail. Can only have guests 6 days a month.
