Before starting at Bath Spa, I had visited a friend who was living in the Gardens accommodation which is on campus. I was desperate to get these halls as I thought they were so nice and it was a perfect location as uni is a 5 minute walk across campus. On A-level results day, I found out I was given Twerton Mill (I hadn't even heard of it). I can't lie, I was very disappointed as others I knew going to the same uni had got the Gardens accommodation even though they had not put it as one of their choices. Fast forward to moving in day, I turned up at the gates with my parents and a car load of stuff which was helped carried by helpful students volunteering. I went into my flat and it was just like a hotel. Everything was clean and as it was only the second year it had been open everything looked brand new. My room was the perfect size and I had the added bonus of a lovely view of the River Avon out of the back window. The kitchen was cleaned professionally every 2 weeks which was also a bonus never giving it a chance to be a proper mess! It was a very socialable place with lots of friendly people about aswell as the reception being so helpful and friendly which is always good! Finally, living off campus was the best thing to come out of living at Twerton Mill. I found that my friends living in Gardens couldn't just jump on the bus to meet in town because they would have to wait an hour for the next one and apart from getting a taxi there was no alternative. Therefore, I was thankful in the end I was not given Gardens accommodation as I feel you can be trapped there.

Room sizes are awful, townhouse has a horrid communal space that reminded me of a hospital waiting room with a kitchen in it. Only positive is that the reception and maintenance are lovely. You will be woken up to a fire alarm every week

The bedroom was very spacious with plenty room to move about, work and get ready in. Lots of storage space to put my stuff in aswell. The bed was a perfect size aswell, however the underbes storage space is incredibly inconnvenient to get to, I am too weak to lift that mattress by myself so couldn’t use the underbed storage!! The ensuite bathroom was just right for everything I needed. The kitchen was an amazing size and suited 7 people great, however I would’ve preferred to opt for a smaller dinning table and gotten a larger sofa as it was never very socialable and the benches were very uncomfortable! The location was great being right next to Lidl, McDonald’s etc. And being right on the bus route worked out nicely. Overall very pleasant place to live and would definitely recommend.

We have had a severe rat infestation not taken care of for over 2 months. They don't clean our kitchen anymore and the most of the staff is very rude to us at all times.

The location of twerton mill is half way between the uni and the city centre, which at first I thought was a disaster but actually turned out to be fantastic and a much better choice than living on campus (which is what I had hoped for!). My room was fantastic. Very smart and clean. It was rather like a hotel room and knowing I was only going to be living there for a year, it didn’t really ever feel like Home. However, I had lovely flat mates and the whole experience was enjoyable. The only downside was it was extortionate to live there which was unfortunate especially now I’m paying significantly less to live in a shared house!

Twerton Mill wasn't my first choice accommodation as it was expensive but I thought it would be worth it because it said it would have a gym, tv and tv license for each flat but they didn't. The only facilities they had was a small laundry room and a tv with some sofas in a communal area. It was also very far away from the city centre and uni and the buses were unreliable.

The halls were new and the room was a good size. The staff were friendly but the social aspect wasn’t as good and I spent most of my time in Waterside. Close to a McDonald’s though so bonus

Poor facilities (shower floods the floor, electrics in kitchen are faulty, bins outside never emptied, bathrooms hardly ever cleaned)

Horribly expensive with a ridiculous 10 month contract. I am owed money from them cutting my bike lock off my bike, this was 2 months ago and have not been reimbursed. The rooms are nice but the Bathrooms are terrible. Bins outside are hardly ever emptied, so lots of rats.
