I only discovered what love was upon my introduction to British Gas. Truely a love story for the ages, great service at not too bad prices.

My experience with British Gas overall has been very good! There have been a handful of problems with my account and various aspects (moving home with my Hive central heating, setting up a new account, etc) but with every problem British Gas, unlike many of their competitors, have faced up to the issue and fixed/compensated me accordingly. Their engineers for Homecare were always exceptional, quick and polite. I'm going back to British Gas after trying a couple of other energy providers - definitely won't be looking to switch again unless there are further issues.

The property I currently live in was on a pay as you go electricity meter when I first moved in. I called up to change this which took around 15-20 minutes to get through to an operator but when I spoke to someone they said subject to a credit check they could switch it out very easily. 2 days later we were on a pay monthly meter. There might be cheaper providers out there but I cba look since BG hasn't exploded my flat yet

Very easy to set up with them over the phone. I'd never had to set up anything like this before and they made it a breeze. Meter readings are easy to submit and you get instant feedback on Bill cost which makes it easy to split the bill between all the housemates.

I joined British Gas 6 years ago and since then have been satisfied totally with their services. The customer services is reliable.

just charged me extra, said they'll re pay but the cheque they promised never arrived. They wasted 4 whole days of my life dealing with them and still nothing resolved!!!

The energy provider is very efficient for both Gas and Electricity, and if there are any problems, they are very quick and accessible in order to solve the problem.

Honestly have had the worst experience with this company. They have effective stolen money from me and in my discussion with them on the phone the woman was rude and patronising, avoiding all of my questions. She basically admitted that they have stolen my money and won't give it back. I am switching providers and will get my money from them if it's the last thing I do.

British gas have always been readily available to helonwihe any boiler issues. Very friendly staff team when fitting our new smart meters and also when fitting our new hive heating system.
