First-time students are unsure about whether they should be starting their university courses in September, according to a study by Student Hut.
One in ten potential students are unsure about whether to attend university as planned or defer to a later year due to the COVID-19 crisis, while some students are considering changing their university (6%) or course (7%).
Meanwhile, half of students say they would be happy to start the academic year in September, even if courses were online only, but only if the online learning provided by their university is significantly improved.

The findings have come from a project to track student opinion and attitudes during the COVID-19 crisis.
The project will provide weekly updates showing the change in student attitudes from the UK’s most engaged and diverse student panel, taken from an audience of one million users and over 130,000 subscribers.
